Cari - as a kid I grew up in the Fens and about this time of year many moons ago, a rasping NE wind blew in. Within an hour we had 4" of snow on the ground. Then the sun came out and melted it. The fog that came with the melting was surreal for the time of year.

Nottins - they're just within the legal time limit unfortunately.

Harrow - I can't imagine snow in summer. Mind you I grew up where you'd be lucky to get in the thick of winter.

They're doing a mural around the back of the church so we were doing some of the painting on that. Then we played Chinese Charades.

We're having a Lord of the Rings marathon today.

More people need to get up early and doing something constructive. Bore piau hi.

I was up early Glas. I opted out of doing something constructive though.

That's ok munsty you're a student. Make the most of it. However a lot of society's problems would be mitigated by people getting off tgeir bum and doing something before Midday on a Saturday.

Morning all, been up since six, not sure how constructive I've been though. Good win for the Crusaders over the Blues, can see them winning the Super XV this year.

I haven't thought about how it would affect society, but if there's a day where I wake up any later than half 9, normally up at half 8, I'd be very annoyed losing out on a good part of the day.

It was Notch. That's why it was such a shame when the Tahs decided to stop playing rugby as it meant we didn't get to see Beale play.

Being bored at work I'm trying to think of a best XV of the last 10 years in test rugby (2001-2011) but I can't come up with a left wing or tighthead. Any ideas?

Well when you live alone someone has to do your household chores, and that's usually me, so that's what I've been doing - just having a break now. I was up at 7ish tho.

Right I've a question, I was in a bar last night that stays open till 6 in the morning, tiny little place which is a restaurant during the day. My question is, is it wrong of me to question the ethics of the people who run this place?? Reason being they would be Muslims who's culture and society forbids alcohol but they are more than happy to open till 6 for pished up people to get more drink

Are they practising Muslims Hughie? Also, if they're licensed to sell food they can stay open late anyway, so they could be encouraging people to eat not drink booze - that's the choice of the punters.

It may make them hypocrites rather than unethical.
