Re: sri lanka side for 3rd test
been anounced Dilshan is out hasn't it sonic?
They should really drop Maharoof (can't bat, can't bowl, can't field either), and given that they're 1-0 down should maybe go for five bowlers, maybe Randiv coming in.
So something like
Parantivana
Thrimannie
Sangakrra (C)
Jaywardene
Samaweera
Prassana (WK)
Randiv
Herath
Welegedra
Lakmal
Fernando
yes it's a long tail, but they need to bowl England out twice to level the series, so I think it's worth the risk...

Sorry I wasn't aware that was the case, Dilshan is a stubborn guy though so he may force the issue.Mad for Chelsea wrote:been anounced Dilshan is out hasn't it sonic?

Re: sri lanka side for 3rd test
I just cant beleive Maharoof will play again, the oviosu thing to do would be to replace him with a proper batsman. But if Dilshan isnt fit they have a real problem and will have to turn to their reserve "cant bat cant bowl" player if they want to replace him.
They are going to be reliant on their star batsmen whatever side is selected.

Personally I think Perera was harshly dropped.Peter Seabiscuit Wheeler wrote:I just cant beleive Maharoof will play again, the oviosu thing to do would be to replace him with a proper batsman. The pitch in Cardiff didn't suit his bowling and Lords would've been more up his street.
Perera can also wallop the ball.

Re: sri lanka side for 3rd test
I think Perera may make a return at the expense of Maharoof, who is probably about as good as I was when I was 13. Thirmannie, scored a century against Essex, so I'd assume he'll come in for Dilshan.
