Yep Racing scored off the resulting scrum.

Shame because it looked like you were fairly dominant on the score board up until then.

Re: European cup matches with no thread - Round 2
A win is a win is a win. A tired looking Munster got over the line. It was a job done kind of feel after the final whistle.
The lineouts were a mess. Hopefully N Scannells injury isn't that bad. It's been a bad week for injuries.
As well as the lineouts, they were just sloppy with the ball with numerous mistakes. Central to that once again was Duncan Williams. He gets 10/10 for effort but his passing is atrocious. Mathewson came on and suddenly Munster clicked into gear.
Carbery is looking alright! Thanks Leo! He is getting better by the game and I expect him to start one or two of the autumn internationals.
Beirne was the motm again. Great signing.
Gloucester will feel confident about the return leg but Munster should be much better. Exeter blew a good chance.

Yet more appalling officiating ... it's turned into a lottery now.

They were clearly offside too for the final phase, made it more satisfying to see Falcons win it
Don't think the yellow was correct either, tackle didn't start around the head/neck as the TMO claimed

Superb win by Toulouse over Leinster - best game of the cup so far - 28-27.
Two teams gave it their all.
The Heineken Cup keeps on giving.

Good, hard, close games with the underdog coming through to take it.
About time we saw Toulouse come back to strength.

Certainly looks like it - but it seems different laws apply to Munster based on this and the Chiefs match ...

Great win. To be honest I didn’t see Stade Toulousain at this level specially when Huget went in.

I thought they were merveilleuse. Countered and overcame everything Leinster threw at them. Their ball handling, speed of thought, skill and nous was fantastic - a pleasure to watch.
If they could bottle that for playing at test level, along with all the other playing riches that France have, they’d be champion material.

If looked at, you would have thought so. Cipriani probably did a worse challenge than the one he was sent off for earlier in the game, while 36 also made a challenge that was missed.
It will be interesting to see what citing officers do across all the games.

There have been a few clear outs the same as lozowski as well. I'm sure we will see the consistency we expect!

Well I don’t think they have the required consistency yet but it was good to see them on a pitch all guns blazing. Been a while after a few years .

Apparently Toulouse are a pretty young inexperienced team as well so great to get this win.
Got to admit it's always nice to see the top teams like Leinster lose, keeps this comp interesting for everyone.

Aim for the TBP wins at home and pick up at least a LBP on the road. A decent result for Leinster away in France. Toulouse played some lovely stuff. They pounced on some telegraphed passing from Leinster. The only thing sub-par in that game was the pitch itself, it tore up something awful in the scrums. I wonder how scary that Toulouse outfit would be with a sarries/glasgow/blues style home pitch.

Sad thing is seeing the tweets saying different laws for the Irish etc as if Twelvetrees tackle never happened

Re: European cup matches with no thread - Round 2
Fair point Marty, 36 seemed lucky too, however I think there may be other factors that make people think some teams seem to get the rub of the green a lot.
Take Munster v Chiefs and the conversion charge down - reckless, impact to head, with force but ref said it was OK as it wasn't deliberate (and we know it's outcome not intent which is the deciding factor now). Also the illegal binding of the flankers on the props right in front of the officials which was ignored multiple times. Finally the last phases of the match when Chiefs just needed a penalty to win, Poite seemed determined not to give a pen despite at least 3 infringements that deserved one.
These are just examples and I'm not saying other teams also haven't had good or bad decisions but there is a huge amount of inconsistency and some teams just 'seem' to come out much better off than others - of course our tinted glasses of various colours could also be playing a part here

Re: European cup matches with no thread - Round 2
The charge down, from the angles I saw didn't touch the head it actually looked like Conway tried to avoid the head which would indicate it was deliberate
Some teams look to push boundaries and when officials don't pull them for it they keep doing it. Just look at Montpellier yesterday, consistently offside and sealing off and even when the ARs point it out to the ref he said he's happy with it.
