WWE: Then. Now. Forever.

Direct from the Target Center in Minnesota, it's SmackDown Live! And here's General Manager Paige in the ring to welcome us, as well as to introduce the returning SmackDown Women's Champion, Becky Lynch. With new entrance graphics declaring her to be "The Man", Bex arrives to a hero's welcome from this Minneapolis crowd. The crowd chants "Becky". "Well, when you're the hottest thing in this industry, any time away is too much time away." She recounts what has happened in the past few weeks, and declares that she's done watching and that The Man is putting herself back in the game. Becky calls out Charlotte Flair, the woman who she chose to fight Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series. The commentators take us back to Survivor Series as stills of Charlotte's brutalizing of Rousey are shown.

Becky says that she did tell Charlotte to give Ronda the beating she deserved, but she came oh so close, and that it took Charlotte "channeling" her to be able to beat Rousey. Charlotte defends herself, stating that she wasn't trying to be Becky Lynch, she was being Charlotte Flair. She proclaims that she is "genetically superior", and that she has the mindset to do anything and to get the job done. Lynch: "You're a bootleg Becky, trying to take what's mine." Charlotte accuses Becky of riding her and her father's coattails. She wants to fight Becky... right now. Before the situation can intensify, Paige gets the both of them to calm down before deciding to book Charlotte vs. Becky at WWE TLC in four weeks for the SmackDown Women's Title... in the eponymous TLC match. The music of Mandy Rose interrupts, as she's joined by Zelina Vega, The IIconics, and Sonya Deville.

Mandy says that they all that Paige does is give title opportunities to her old PCB teammates, but before she gets far, Naomi, Carmella, Asuka, and Lana interrupt the proceedings. Naomi says that they agree with Mandy's assertion that Paige doesn't care about the rest of the SmackDown women's roster. Becky, however, wants to fight them all. Tonight, there'll be a Battle Royal featuring the eight women outside, and the winner will be added to the SmackDown Women's Title TLC Match to make it a Triple Threat.

STILL TO COME: AJ Styles responds to Daniel Bryan and Jeff Hardy's 20th Anniversary Celebration.

We cut backstage to The Usos, who welcome the Bar to the Uso Penitentiary. They face off up next.

Tonight in the Mixed Match Challenge Playoffs: It's Bayley & Finn Balor vs. Bobby Lashley & Mickie James. On Facebook Watch after SmackDown. [C1]

The KFC Chicken & Waffles recap show us a retrospective of Beth Phoenix & Santino Marella.

As The Bar make their entrance, we get a recap of what happened earlier today with Cesaro & Big Show, where Show made yet another apparent face turn by punching Cesaro after being mouthed off by him.

MATCH ONE - The Usos vs. The Bar: Sheamus & Jimmy start off here. Uppercut by Jimmy and tag to Jey made. Now it's Jey who has the advantage for a bit before Sheamus fights him off and tags in Cesaro. Now it's Jey who fights back and the tag to Jimmy made. Double team move. Sheamus with a sneaky move behind the referee allows The Bar to gain the advantage, so let's take a mid-match break, shall we? [C2]

The Bar continue to take over as we return from break. Sheamus tags in and a knee to the face gets a near fall. Jimmy fights off Sheamus & Cesaro and gets in the hot tag to brother Jey, who storms the ring like a house-a-fire. Running corner splash and that's a two-count. Sheamus with a blind tag as Jey is unaware. Jey goes for a flying splash, but Cesaro intercepts with an uppercut. Sheamus drops Jey with a knee to the top rope. 1... 2... NO! Jey dodges a flying clothesline, and floors Sheamus & Cesaro with superkicks 1... 2... NO! Tag in to Jimmy... stereo flying splashes foiled by a Cesaro uppercut and Sheamus rolling up Jimmy! 1... 2... NO! Tag to Cesaro, but Jey makes the save before The Bar can hit their big finisher! Big upper cut.... Jey tags in. Double superkick. Jey flying splash. 1... 2... 3! The Usos def. The Bar via pinfall

We go backstage to The New Day watching something last week as The Miz believes they're watching The Marine 6. They aren't. They're watching Miz's loss to the Bryant Brothers last night. Miz brags about being one-half of the Best in the World with Shane McMahon, but the New Day won't have it. He says he could beat either one of the New Day trio and goes off to have his "bestie" Shane make the match. As Miz leaves, Big E spouts off some factoids about Jake Carter, Miz's character from the Marine films. Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods realize this and declare him to be a Mariner (a fan of the Marine movies).

TONIGHT: The big Battle Royal for a spot in the SmackDown Women's Title TLC Match, as well as Jeff Hardy's 20th Anniversary Retrospective.

Backstage, AJ Styles sits in a dark room with his hood up. He's approached by somebody who tells him it's time. He speaks about Daniel Bryan up next. [C3]

Former WWE Champion AJ Styles enters the ring, sporting new black and lime green attire. In four weeks, Styles fights current champ Daniel Bryan at TLC. Amidst the fans chanting his name, Styles begins by saying that he's been without the WWE Title for fourteen days. Said days have been a lot longer than the over 365 days he was a champion. Styles says he hates losing, but the way he lost the WWE Title to Bryan is what pissed him off most. Recap of SmackDown 2 weeks ago, where the newly-evil Bryan dick kicked Styles to win the WWE Title, and beat the hell out of him after the match. He says that being the WWE Championship put a target on his back, but that it might've moved somewhere else to Styles. AJ says that he had to watch Survivor Series and last week's SmackDown at home due to Bryan's attack as we get a recap of last week's SD with Bryan's big heel promo. Styles: "You know what that sounds like to me? A lot of BS!" AJ doesn't want to wait for TLC to fight Bryan, he wants to do it right here, right now! However, Bryan's not here... and for the live events this past weekend, he wasn't there. AJ infers that Bryan might be getting ideas from Raw's Universal Champion, particularly when it comes to no-showing. AJ says that at TLC, Bryan can bring his dreams and excuses and his WWE Championship... which belongs to only one man, the Phenomenal AJ Styles. Surprisingly, no response from the Champ.

TONIGHT: Jeff Hardy's 20th Anniversary Celebration. [C4]

Tom Phillips talks about how Lars Sullivan is the most talked-about person in social media (though, I suspect we're all not talking about Lars for the reasons he thinks we're talking about him). We get a hype vignette for Lars.

U.S. Champion Shinsuke Nakamura makes his way to the ring for our next contest. His opponent? Rusev in non-title action.

MATCH TWO: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rusev: As Rusev enters the ring, he's ambushed by Nakamura, who attacks. Kinshasa sends Rusev to the outside! Nakamura walks off and sees Rusev about to get up, another Kinshasa takes him down. No contest.

STILL TO COME: Battle Royal for a spot in the SmackDown Women's Title TLC match. Up next, however, it's Jeff Hardy's 20th Anniversary celebration. [C5]

Kay Jewelers and Mattel WWE Action Figures bring you WWE TLC on December 16th, because when I think wrestling, I think action figures and jewelry.

Inside the ring, we see pictures of Jeff Hardy and Michael Cole. The stage is filled with SmackDown superstars, who are here to welcome the man of the hour (not to be confused with Lio Rush), Jeff Hardy. He slaps hands with fans and takes a lap around ringside before entering the ring. Cole cues up a video package taking a look back at Jeff Hardy's many moments inside a WWE ring.

Brother Nero thanks everyone and says that this business has given him a creative outlet to express himself, so he can freely be the Charismatic Enigma. He's lived the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, and through it all, we have stuck with him. He is eternally grateful for that. "Thank you Hardy" chants from the fans. He thanks his wife and kids for making this night possible. Jeff says that this is not a retirement speech and that the future is unknown for him. Before he can wrap up, Samoa Joe interrupts.

Joe says that he was having a few bottles, and that maybe having champagne around Jeff isn't such a good idea. He goes on to mock Jeff for his alcohol troubles, because he doesn't believe in second chances. It bothers Joe that Jeff being put up on a pedestal despite all his failures. He says that he's offering Jeff a one-step program, one that won't be painless. Jeff says that Joe can't rain on his parade and that he still lives for the moment... like one for right now! Joe backs out. Despite that, Jeff's music plays and he basks in the moment.

UP NEXT: The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston [C6]

The Usos & Naomi shill for WWEShop's 50% off T-Shirts sale.

MATCH THREE - Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz: Kofi gets the early advantage, but Miz quickly gains control in the corner. Miz runs into a Kofi flying uppercut and gets sent to the ringside area. Miz distracted by Xavier Woods tooting his horn, long enough to get hit with a tope by Kofi. Time to pay the bills. [C7]

Back in the ring and both men looking to jockey for the advantage, but it's Kofi who ends up with the advantage. Running drop by Kofi connects. Trouble in Paradise countered by Miz, but Kofi quickly reverses it. SOS reversed into a Skull-Crushing Finale, but that's also reversed by Kofi. Now the SOS finally connects. 1... 2... NO! DDT by Miz gets a very close near fall. As the referee checks on Kofi, Miz exposes the turnbuckle, but Big E causes a distraction that almost gets a pin for Kofi. Knee to the midsection by Miz. As Xavier toots some more, he gets kicked by Miz. As the referee is distracted by Big E, Miz tries to bring in a chair, but he gets intercepted by Woods. Trouble in Paradise! 1... 2... 3! Kofi Kingston def. The Miz via pinfall

The New Day celebrate with their pancakes, while the announcers hype up the big Battle Royal that's yet to come later tonight.

Backstage, Randy Orton is set to address his attack on Rey Mysterio after this break. [C8]

"The Most Dangerous Man in WWE," Randy Orton makes his way down the ring, with Rey Mysterio's mask in hand. Randy starts off by mentioning that he believes his actions against Rey Mysterio were "euphoric". He says that he never understood what was so important about the mask he ripped off of Rey's face last week, calling it a "piece of trash". Orton justifies his actions by saying that it was meant to humiliate Rey, to take him off the pedestal that we have put him on. It's proof that all Rey is just another one of Orton's victims, and that he's a victim of the three most destructive letters in WWE: R...

Rey Mysterio's music interrupts and brings out the masked marvel, who's bringing the fight to Orton briefly before Randy tosses him into the barricades. He rips off the neckbrace off of Rey and tosses him into the ring, but Mysterio fights back with kicks. 619! Enzuiguri followed by yet another 619! Rey steps outside and introduces a chair into the proceedings. Randy meets him at the pass and hits the Hanging Guillotine DDT. Randy grabs Rey by his mask and shoves him into the corner barricade. With chair in hand, Randy prepares to guillotine Rey with the chair to the throat and hits it. Multiple WWE officials shoo him off, including Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury(?) [C9]

Back on the show, The Miz confronts Shane McMahon in his office and wonders where the hell Shane was in his match versus Kofi Kingston. Miz says that he and Shane are forever bonded by the World Cup trophy, almost like a family of sorts.

Match Four - Women's Division Battle Royal (Winner Added To SmackDown Women's Title TLC Match): It's pure chaos to start the match. First to go is Zelina Vega courtesy of Lana, and that causes Vega to attack Lana at ringside. Good time to take our final commercial break of the evening. [C10]

We're back and Lana tries to take out Billie Kay, but she gets eliminated by both IIconics members. They celebrate and turn to face Asuka, who goes to town on both of them. Asuka eliminates both Billie & Peyton with a running hip attack. Carmella floors Asuka with a kick to the face. Asuka tries to kick Carmella, but she cowers on the apron. Asuka backs off, but she kicks Mella out with a kick to the gut. Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose team up on Asuka and they team up to try and eliminate her. Naomi breaks it up and goes to town on Mandy. Rear View to Rose, followed by a springboard attack on Sonya. Mandy lifts Naomi onto the apron. Naomi uses an athletic split to avoid elimination before eliminating Mandy. Sonya hits Naomi from behind to eliminate her. It's just Deville and Asuka left. Trading kicks and dodges, until Sonya takes her down. Sonya throws Asuka over the top. Mandy grabs a hold of Asuka's feet, but she gets knocked out with a kick. Suplex attempt to the outside, but now Sonya & Asuka are on the apron. It's a dogfight here. Sonya charges at Asuka, but gets lifted and hit with a knee that sends her to the floor! Asuka wins the Women's Battle Royal to join the Women's TLC Match for the SmackDown Women's Title

As Asuka celebrates, both Charlotte and Becky Lynch look on. These three will compete for the SmackDown Women's Title in the first ever women's TLC Match.

It's like they realise the importance of it.

None of the main heels are talking about how people smell or make them ill. The people on the show want to win the titles. There’s even some fresh matchups or stipulations. Hell, some of the stories seem to be slow burners that will take time.

The best showing from the blue brand in a long time. Not a huge fan of Rey vs Orton but I’d rather than they spunk all the good feuds for Rey early.

Tbh I'm glad they've stuck Rey with Orton as I don't care for either of them.

I prefer this sporadic use of Orton. And his match with Hardy at Hell in a Cell was one of WWE’s best of the year.

All I resllt feel on Rey is that they shouldn’t have done a match with Almas on TV.
