Re: Wales vs Ireland - Round 5
I'll tell you what Gareth Davies slid into the player in the first half and blew a kickable penalty for Wales, Ireland kicked to touch and almost scored a try. Again he gives Ireland a penalty and thankfully they messed it up.
Against New Zealand thats 17 points given away in a game. We can't afford his idiocy.

Two average teams going at it, but ireland have been gash for all but 10 mins. Wales dominant physically and in defence.

Re: Wales vs Ireland - Round 5
Ireland have been treated a tad harshly by the ref on a few occasions and Wales perhaps lucky a couple of times (eg no YC for the trip) but Wales have been totally dominant and good value for the win (barring a miracle) and the Grand Slam looks to be in the bag.

There are a few things that could have been costly against a less flustered team. GD had been part of creating the pressure that has left Ireland flustered and almost headless though.

Re: Wales vs Ireland - Round 5
Pretty sad state of affairs as an Englishman looking back at a loss to Wales as the highlight of the tournament.
It's been the only half-decent competitive match this year.

I cannot recall Ireland ever playing so bad as they have today.
Wales far, far, better all around the park.

I hope Schmidt has the brass to blame it on the weather, just for the comedy gold of that.
Fair play Wales ...your climate is a disgrace but your rugby team has their stuff together at the moment.
Something about peaking too soon.

Re: Wales vs Ireland - Round 5
I don't think I've seen such a terrible performance from a previously decent player as Sexton today. I don't know why he's still on the pitch.
Kudos to Wales for not letting up. It's not a pretty or clever game plan but it's ruthlessly effective again NH sides that don't have the creativity and accuracy to counter it.

Kinda feel sorry for Wales.... They showed up to play a big game. Why is Sexton still on he's absolutely shot.
Has any Ireland player played beyond a 4 out of 10?

We deserved to win though, we have been better. Ireland have made so many mistakes. I havent seen anything this bad since Ireland lost to Wales in the World Cup back in 2011.

The Irish bubble has well and truly burst, that win against the All Blacks must seem a long long time ago!
Can they refined themselves for the WC or have some of their stars just gone past their sell by date?

Without doubt the worst Ireland performance ever in the Six Nations era.
Could only manage to score a try at the death. Dismal.

Congrats boys, well deserved.
Saved your best game for today and totally outclassed a lacklustre Irish outfit. It's a shame Ireland scored at the end, they didn't really deserve it.
Is this the beginning of the end for Sexton?

I think you’re right. Bring Carty in and start planning for 2023. Schmidt needs to just leave quietly out the back door. He finished as he started.
Wonder what Eddie Jones is thinking now?
