Re: Welsh Open Qualifying Discussion Thread
White booked a meeting with Day. If White gets through that, O'Sullivan awaits. Personally would like White to go far at the Welsh Open, still like to see him progress in every event.

Re: Welsh Open Qualifying Discussion Thread
A lot of fans feel the likes of White, Davis and even Hendry should quit the game. Personally seeing great players rolling back the years is fantastic and creates interest. Davis, 2005 UK and 2004 Welsh Open, Final appearances. White's, six reds Grand Prix Final 2009 and World Seniors Final 2010, titles. These are still great moments for fans who remember vintage times when for these professionals winning was an everyday occurrence.

Good man Sirus. Its "Snooker brother from another Mother" mate.
Nce to see you here too eirebilly. Hopefully this place will kick on.....
Your right Gav. They (Davis, White & Hendry) brought plenty of enjoyment into my front room & long may it continue.
Results/Scores so far from this evenings Kick Offs....
Burnett 4-0 Robertson
Bond 4-1 Saengkham
McManus 2-2 McCulloch (interesting frame the 5th one, Ian McCulloch was 65-0 up however Alan McManus is on a break of 45 with 27 left on the table. Hmmm me thinks, will he clear up?)
Holt 3-2 Guodong
Lines 2-3 Davison

Abig match for Ken later. Nigel Bond should be on a high after winning the shootout but hopefully Ken will be too good.

Well eirebilly dont worry this place wont be anything like the farce snooker 606 is...for starts ive have never seen so much paranoia on who is frame or who seifer.. multiple id's or abusive WUM's wont be allowed here
I have been told that when this snooker section picks up they will be looking for someone to moderate it, I have already put my name forward to hero (admin)
lets all enjoy this place

Looking forward to some real Snooker discussion and debates, rather than some of the drivel from the previous forum. Anyway, Doherty may level at 3 each.

The standard has improved this year alone, due to the increase in tournaments; it’s great for all the players. Bond has proved this, like many others.

yes Gav, I have been really impressed with Barry Hearns turn around of the sport and made it possible for more tournaments to be playable, more money and more interest...hopefully Barry can get snookers popularity back to something like the 80'sGav110 wrote:The standard has improved this year alone, due to the increase in tournaments; it’s great for all the players. That is an excellent observation, the more competitive tournements being played makes for a higher standard of snooker.
