Re: ICC Cricket World Cup
Match abandoned, making it a record breaking WC for abandoned games already. A shame as it would have been fun to see those two teams playing in conditions that they would consider to be Arctic

Yeah just seen that stat ...quite amazing really, although this has been freakishly bad weather and I guess theres not been that many world cups in countries that have all day rain.
Wet cricket could be the next big thing.

This really needs to get sorted, because this makes a farce of the competition. Eventually these abandoned matches could decide who makes it through

Re: ICC Cricket World Cup
Well I'm sure next time the UAE will have lined enough BCCI board members pockets to ensure theres no rain delays.
For now though we are kinda stuck with a format where we pretty much all assumed 3 of the teams who are benefiting most from the weather would've qualified anyway....and the fourth one is top of the table currently so couldn't really be begrudge a spot.
Short of threatening to leave European weather I'm not sure what exactly they can do about it.
