Union or League
The question is a simple one - at least for the guys with access to wiki leaks...I mean Wikipedia - and it is this: Was Jesus a follower of Rugby Union or did He prefer League? Use references to or evidence from the Bible to add weight to your arguments.
Let's get some real academic meat on the bones of these rugby controversies!

Re: Union or League
I always assumed he was a footy fan though he was terrible on crosses.
That's never going to survive the mods.

I also recall footy being mentioned. Under a "Jesus Saves" sign, someone had scrawled "and Lineker slots the rebound".

Yeah, but we all know that Jesus' father loves Argentina. That's a different topic though.

Re: Union or League
12 disciples plus himself, obviously a league man. Heck they even had the very first Judas who took his 40 pieces of silver to cross codes.
Mind you with 13 men and just a token woman in the group I suspect they may have played in rainbow colours.

Re: Union or League
God only works 6 days before he takes a day off. In Rugby League if you make 6 tackles you get turnover ball and your defence gets a break. This can't be coincidence.
Re: Union or League
We know from the scriptures that Jesus was a Union fan and played at Open side for Galilee RFC
The reason being is that at an annual Christmas dinner the Head Coach Barabas had forgotten to order sufficient vino for the head table.
Jesus, having accepted the award for MV Player of the Season can be seen converting a load of Evian into a decent Pinotage (a nod to our Saffa Brethren from the PFJ who were banned at the time)

Re: Union or League
Such tosh of Jesus playing at openside!
The man can walk on water so he was clearly either the first carnation of Maro Itoje and therefore a second rower or he was Stafford McDowell in which case he's an inside centre.
He was deffo a rugby man though and not a footy fan as he didnt mind a drink in a stadium!

Have you seen the beer being poured at the new White Hart Lane? A miracle worthy of the son of God.tigertattie wrote:Such tosh of Jesus playing at openside!

You youngster you.
The original of this was 'Pearson taps in the rebound' from his time at Man Utd in the 70's

just saw 'first carnation'....that would be if he was a Buddhist and I am fairly sure Jesus wasn't. Although maybe he was a transreligionist.
