10 points for picking correct winning team

0 points for a 'No Result'.

How do we do points, LT?
I don't want to be stingy dealing in single points... fractions of points. Rather make it juicy so we can all rack up some decent points.

Does this seem OK?

20 points for correct win and winning margin either N, C, E or T.

10 points for correct win but only one rung off the actual result.
eg. you tip India T and the actual result is India E = 10 points

5 points for correct win but more than one rung off the winning margin.
eg. you tip England T and the actual result is England N

For a tie - nominate "NT" after your winning team
eg. Australia NT .. and it will be treated as an extra rung from N. 50 points for correct picking NT. If it's only an N... 10 points.
For a "No Result" ... 0 points allocated.

I'm meddling with the idea of a *Golden Pick* match - where you nominate winning team & correct margin with an * eg. *Aus E* v SL - so you'd get 40, 20 and 10 points ... double the usual points.

Personally I would want to make the correct result as important as the margin so:

!0 for the result
10 for correct margin
5 for just one rung out

But up to you really.

Just edited my post as I thought T was for "tight" rather than "thrashing". Have changed those to Ns. Upset I didn't trust my gut and go with an "Easy" England win, which would have brought me an extra 5 points. Think only Duty's got those, so he's into an early lead by my reckoning

If only south Africa had had the option of claiming they hadn't read the rules and changing their minds  in 92

Sorry I got mixed up and thought that post referred to the scores after game one.

But surely that has to go down as a thrashing because of the balls remaining? I means theres no way you could see that as anything else ....it does throw up a problem though ...what if they won with one wicket left and 31 balls? That wouldnt be a thrashing

I refer the honrouable gentleman to the above post about south Africa and reading the rules. Also if we arent allowed to book warner it's quite reasonable for any of us to ignore the rules, including the chap who's picked his scores after the first two games were played.

guys... I must admit I'm a little unsure myself. Looked like a comprehensive T to me as well.

Easy because losing 3 wickets trumps the number of balls.

While I know the game was really a thrashing, the rules had not considered a team winning inside 15 overs.

Literally no-one predicted a Bangladesh victory, and London Tiger even wasted his golden ticket on South Africa. Surely no-one else was daft enough to do that? Were they?

The search for the lost valley of gold seemed like a good idea at the time. I'm sort of half shocked but not totally surprised by the result. Sorry for SA.
