1) Each week you will be asked to predict the scores from that weekend's games. All predictions must be made before the start of the games.
2) You will be get points depending on how close you are to the actual score. Points will be awarded in the following way:-
- You will get 20 points for getting the correct match outcome.
- You will get 10 points for getting a teams score correct.
- You will lose one of those 10 points for every point you are away from a teams score. Therefore you must be with 10 points of a teams score to gain points.
- If you get a match score spot on you will be awarded with double points. So if the correctly predict a match's score you will receive a maximum 80 points.
Example:-
Your prediction - Ireland 17-31 Wales
Actual result - Ireland 25-31 Wales
Your score 32 points
You would receive 20 points for correctly predicting Wales to win. As you were 8 points off Ireland's score you get 2 points for that and another 10 points for getting Wales' score spot on.
All the pool games now added so please continue to post your predictions prior to all kick offs or you won't score in that match.

Wales 28 - 23 New Zealand
England 28 - 30 South Africa
Trying to gain a few points on the leader board.
In all honesty I think England and NZ will win both and comfortably but not happy being so low on the leader board.

On my phone so can't quote, but not sure I am uncatachable? A maximum of 80 points per game, so an exact score would still catch?
I think it's mostly luck. I go for the margin first, and then try to build the scores in my head - e.g. are we talking about attacking teams or defensive teams, so would a 10 point win be more likely to be 16-26 or 26-36 etc. I dont think I've got many scores right, but think I've picked up points quite regularly for being close.
Plus not forgetting a game always helps, as I did with the cricket one.

Re: RWC Competition 2019
Apologies all for the late final round up and final results. 22 hrs back from Tokyo on Monday via Taipei, Honk Kong into Heathrow arriving 0500 on Tuesday all at the back of the plane with other large rugby fans. Brutal experience especially as very hung over. Still recovering to be honest. And we did not even show up in the final, but at least I still enjoyed the craic!
The medal match results. Looks like the cat got the cream here!

And the final full results at the end of RWC 2019. Thanks to all for taking part. Luckily sport and rugby are not entirely predictable otherwise it would be boring. A long tournament and soneone else can run this next time
Robbo finally confirmed as the grand champione!!! Respect and very well done.
And Maesteg you are not last, just the bottom of the leaders! I left out several who ran out of puff and missed a round or two out completely.

Yes, missed out a few matches...
Thanks HH, it’s not an easy task scraping text from irregular places into meaningful data, a lot of hours needed for all that. Much appreciated.

Thanks for doing this!
I'd like to explain me not making the cut as having forgotten about a few games, but in truth I was just really bad at predictions.
