Awesome performance across the squad...NZ outplayed. Fantastic.
Curry, Underhill, Itoje were immense, but everyone else not far behind, huge defensive display.

I take it Ford will be moved back to the bench next week again?

Already have the champagne breakfast spot booked, baby sitter is at the house for 05.30, taxi booked 05.45, will be in Cardiff centre, and at the table with a whisky by 06.30...
Tears due at the anthem and final whistle, whatever happens!

Joint to Itoje and Underhill.
Massive shout out to George Ford who orchestrated things excellently and seemed to take over Captaincy reins even though Farrell stayed on. Additional props to Manu for his destructive ability in defence.

Will need to be far more clinical against South Africa or Wales. Only one try with all that dominance was the major drawback of the performance.
Could well be missing May and Farrell too, plus Sinckler hobbled off.

As a wales fan it's terrifying to see how cool calm and collected the English players were right after the game of their lives...
You just know Farrell was brefiing the players on recovery and paperwork in the post match huddle, didn't even need to calm anyone down!!!
I wanted NZ to play Ireland and england and be too battered and bruised in the final to compete, this English pack scared me far more than the kiwi pack did all tournament!

Oh dear, feel sorry for him really, retiring after the tournament.
Still prefer England in the final to Barnsie reffing it, lets hope Owens is excluded as well.

Men against boys, and Eddie knew it. Hansen went for youth and vigour instead of experience, and paid for it. We needed Crotty, Ben Smith, Cane to even have a chance, and I don’t think that would have mattered.
England should have scored more bar little mistakes, the knock on, Farrells dropped ball, missed kicks.
Totally outplayed and best thing is England played a good solid brand of rugby. Upbeat, positive. Curry, Underhill and Itoje were massive.
It takes the pressure off NZ for a while, while we change drivers for the next shift.
Very impressive England, deserve to win their second

T-man, ebop, is this the end of the road for a number of the older players? Can we expect the new faces that played today plus some more now to come to the fore at the start of a new 4 year cycle or will the AB bring the new faces in slowly?

Itoje was MOTM, according to World Rugby online.
Well, that was a very impressive performance, and it puts the Australia game and England’s pool performances into perspective. This is a team that’s capable of taking control of a game and holding onto it for 80 minutes. And I don’t think the ABs can have any complaints about the refereeing this time.

Who was it said that Beauden Barrett already seemed to have picked his line before receiving a kick?
I think they forgot to mention that Sam Underhill had already decided where he was going to tackle him before the kick went up.
