Do we know what got Stander so worked up with Itoje? Or was he just angry after being flatened by Tuilagi

He and another defender were being held on the ground by Itoje, who managed to pull his shirt off

Yes but they are in the right places. The May one was a fine line between the penalty and genius

Yes May's was fine - a toenail away from being perfect

Happy to say I was very wrong about this England selection so far.
Daly has been very good. JJ good on the wing even if some of his best work has been in turning up in the centre
Lawes good too

A lot of dirty cheap shot clearouts from Ireland.

No ones playing badly. Very good first half all round unless you're Ireland s defence coach.

Or attack coach. Every Irish attack has gone backwards

Well, well, well. Only comment from that half - time for Murray to be called in... just nothing there. He's had his chances to play himself back into top level International standard, and he isn't getting there.

Sinckler has to be carefull, he's doing a lot of shoving and slapping around the breakdown...
Ireland's gameplan is rather dul ball in hand, similar to how Wales persisted in giving the French rush defence targets to hit Ireland are losing 10 yards per play, offering no tie in to the tight and wider pack in defence

Sexton is not having a good day, England rush defence has him panicked, Ireland need to exploit the space behind the rush defence with more accurate kicks, their tactical kicking has been poor so far.

Is this the world cup? As we are playing like it is.
Slow ball being passed to people standing still. Poor kicking from 9 and 10.
Bring cooney on now and Doris. Give sexton ten minutes to sort himself out

Well what can I say. People saying Ireland playing poorly? They are but that is down to the intensity from England. England are by far the better team in every aspect of the game so far.
I would take Sexton, Murray and Stockdale off putting on Byrne, Cooney and Earls for a start.
Its also only a matter of time before Ireland get pinged for their collisions at the breakdown, some very late ones coming in.

Yep, the new generation - win or lose - must have the bulk of these games from here on in. Neither Murray nor Sexton nor a handful of others are the future. Farrell has given these guys a chance to turn 2019 form around....but even then, they're not the future. They've been well rumbled by the best sides.

A complete performance by England in the first half. Untouchable when they produce it. Did it against Ireland last year, and against Australia (for sixty minutes) and New Zealand in the World Cup.

England are just playing well. Not close to top gear for them. There was a time we'd be at least able to meet them for a fight in the middle. But there is absolutely no teeth in this Irish performance.

That's because England came out with the Pliers and pulled the Irish teeth out in the fist 2 minutes...

I didn't see it Billy. I just saw Ireland as rabbits in headlights unecessarily so. England are very good. But not needing best form this time.

England did very well originally there, but then also got lucky not to give away the pen.
Turned the maul touchline, then 3 English forward offside.
Story of Ireland's day, just getting out muscled

If, after 50mins or, England score next then changes must be made.
I would put CJ to 6 with POM off and Doris to 8
Cooney on for Murray
Earls on for Stockdale
Then maybe Byrne for Sexton
Silly from both CJ and Farrell

Why would stander get penalised there? He was held, and was frantically trying to push Farrell off him...

Yeah I didn't see any punches!
Farrell seemed to be trying to argue he was within his rights to hold onto him, which just isn't true...
