Found this on Sport24 in SA How Cassiem won over Scarlett fans.

It seems he is really enjoying his time in Europe.

Yes he's become a bit of a cult figure down west.

Have to disagree with this bit a little though though:

There have been a number of SA players that have reached cult status - at my own club, Newport, Gary Teichmann reached cult status. Adrian Garvey the prop too. Percy Montgomery to a certain extent too, although he took a while to settle.

Stefan Terblanche at the Ospreys was a big hit and crowd favourite. Maybe not cult status, but up there.

I can’t think of any South African player here, that has been unpopular. Even Dragons have had players recently, that the supporters loved (Landman and Pretorious previously and Harris still as obvious examples).

Yes Landman and Harris had/have a bit of cult status about them. Still annoyed at the way Landman was treated to be honest.

The only one that annoyed me was Bobby Skinstad at the Dragons.  A big song and dance about getting him over and then he played a handful of games and jacked it in mid-season to become a pundit/to 'pursue business interests'!

Skinstad has always been a bit of a love/hate kinda guy. Even in SA

He didn't have a good first season with them, although not as bad as Blommetjies who was shown the door. Uzair's been a bit of a revelation this season though, looks as if he's really enjoying his time there. Werner Kruger looks to have settled in well too. They must have a great rugby community around Llanelli.
