What a player Louis Rees-Zammit is. He just strides away from Hogg and Duhan there. Hogg and Duhan. Ridiculous speed and skill.

Very poor if Wales stop trying to score now. Russell, VDM and Hogg are making mince out of us.

If he didn't slip then he had Russell on his shoulder with men outside. So unfortunate for him. Hoggy has been sublime yet again today.BigGee wrote:God, I thought Hogg was through there

Thank feic for that, Tompkins literally tackles like a fairy I can’t stand to watch him any more. Important win but Wales are poor and this just prolongs Pivac’s career.
Scotland did well but good god they’re probably the unluckiest team in world rugby.

Hogg's slip was like against New Zealand all those years ago.
Fantastic game. Again an idiotic action from one individual player costs his side the match.

Unlucky Scotland. The red card probably lost you the game. With 15 men I think it would have been your win.

Really?! He seemed to really struggle for me. Made no ground, knocked on, got turned over, got held up twice with choke tackles leading to 2 scrums to Scotland. Not good. The only good thing he did was an interception which resulted in him getting turned over.

I'm not sure being turned over/choke tackles are ever the fault of the carrier though. At the very least a shared thing.. think hes a cracking player but not being used as he should.

Re: Scotland vs Wales (13th Feb, 4.45pm KO)
Lots of things that aren’t right for Wales - but six tries in two games (albeit against 14 men) with minimal visits to the opposition 22 is a clinical side we’ve not seen in god knows how long. Always been an Achilles heel under Gatland. There is definite signs of progress in that side of things.

Got man handled every time he carried, that’s when he didn’t drop it and simply cannot defend. Too small and out of his depth. Time to bring in Doc Roberts or Kieran Williams. Halaholo is in now so if North returns then Tompkins will be out of the 23.

Re: Scotland vs Wales (13th Feb, 4.45pm KO)
Really sore one that.
First thing is definitely the red card. As someone who has had head injuries and a rugby ending knee injury it showed something fundamentally wrong with our game today. Jack Willis suffered a season ending injury, maybe (God forbid) a career ender. Wyn Jones wouldn't have known he'd been hit unless you told him. Zander Fagerson walked and Negri didn't. It seemed the ref wanted to give the card, and the rules are such that he was well within his rights to send him off. Sensible rugby decisions should come into play.
Gary Graham talks a good game but frankly from the moment Blade Thomson went off we were up against it. He was the square root of useless. Still as soon as we got 14 points ahead we seemed to forget everything that we'd been doing well up to that more. We seem to find moments in games when we just give the ball to one of our exciting backs and expect the defence to open up.
I'm really not good at being gracious in defeat despite the practice, but well done Wales - Alun Wyn Jones showed his class in the interview afterwards.

Scotland should have won that game, but they gave Wales too much space and that young lad is lightning.
Stone cold red card - you simply cannot take a run up to a ruck and straight off your feet anymore, although it has always been in the laws, as any head contact will now get a card. WP Nel is a better scrummager.
Scotland supporters should get a medal for the annual frustrations !!
