Ireland vs England
First topic message reminder :
Thought I'd set up a neutral venue.
Some team news is that Ryan and Ringrose have been ruled out for the home team.
No sign as yet of Underhill so Wilson on for another start unless Jones gets brave and picks Martin from the off. May actually be tempted as POM is back available.

England look a poorly coached side. But who could actually replace him? Baxter? Lam? Anyone else?

The only thing left to decide is how big the margin will be for Ireland.

Don't mind the old choke tackle but the ref needs to remember the riding arm can't go over the shoulder.

Guard the maul well and youngs is so ineffective ain't he. Deserve the down vote. Breakdown rather than maul.

England need a rebuild. Can't go into 2023 with at least half of these players, some of whom look completely shot and past it.

England are too poor to even attempt a comeback....Ireland to get the bonus point before the end

Disagree on that and a bit unfair on amor and Robinson given the coving circumstances.

One of those games. Ref is playing to his mindset rather than events. England not been able to change that.

Been happening all tournament.
I really hope you're right ...
Mentioned this the other week;
Genuinely think Eddie isnt that concerned with the 6 nations as a tournament....i think he sees it as just extra preparation during the World Cup cycle....& his track record in it suggests that as does his interviews and his general lack of frustration/emotion to the abject displays we have seen not just this year but others too.
Thats fine if we win a World Cup...but if fall at the final hurdle then have to ask it it worth it?
Ill say one thing ....i hope it is just a case of trying things because if he has told the players that its all about the result then we shouldnt be seeing half of this side anywhere near a test match for some time!!
Regardless.... suffice to say we have only gone backwards in the last 12 months and the results havent been the worse thing; the performances (we are absolutely dire to watch) and the drop off in levels of some of the players are the more pressing concerns.

England's performance is the most annoying but it's also annoying when the officials are eagle-eyed at spotting any slight infringement by England whilst ignoring pretty clear Ireland ones ... collapsed mauls, offside etc ...

What's good for one team is good for the other from what I'm watching. England backs offside regularly. Their discipline has been an issue all tournament.
Aki can have no complaints about that.

Defending player kneeling on the ground.
Attacking player drops his head down at the contact.
Tackle around chest.

With the current protocols it's a red.
But given Billy was quite low, I feel there could have been a bit of mitigation and yellow would have been about right

But he didn't get lower, he just stayed the same height. Aki lined him up at that height and direct shoulder to the head, 100% red.
