Crusaders v Chiefs
Didnt make it out of the leaba (bed) in time to watch this game but based on highlights looked like a good game. Anyone see it live?
Anyway predictably the Crusaders won the title again however the Chiefs looked pretty good. Saw them play the Jaguares a couple of years ago and they seem to have improved a lot as has their mulleted talisman Damian McKenzie. The guy really punches above his weight. Shame he didnt have his best game with the boot and the Chiefs didnt get the job done.

I watched it - wasn't a classic but the Chiefs really brought it but the Crusaders never lost control. Quite a turnaround to lose all their games last season then get to a final this year. Must have been the coach eh....
McKenzie was spectacular but a better goal kicker would have won them the game. NZ have ridiculous depth in their back 3, particularly fullback where they have McKenzie, Jordan, Barret X 2 plus several others who would be competing for a spot in any other international team.

It'll be interesting to see if Gatland goes back to the Chiefs after the Lions. I know he's under contract but the huge reversal from him being there to not is quite stark. Perhaps he'll take a step up and do some work with coaching development and overall structure as opposed to being the head coach.
Another year another piece of silverware for Robertson. How many more years will the Crusaders be able to keep hold of him? His record is getting pretty ridiculous.
