Some interesting performances in the first half. A few people well out of reckoning putting their hands up. A few favourites playing pretty anonymously.

Great try all round, great hands from Price, Beard and Hogg

Adam Beard, Berne and LCD the standouts in that first half

Price and VDM have also done well

Thought Hill has had an excellent first half as well BG. Really good at rucks.

Smith has barely had the ball in attack, but his rucking and tackling have been excellent

Price has been excellent so far for the Lions and is the man pulling the strings. The flankers are a great combination and a cut above. Could easily be the starting 6 and 7 with Curry on the bench and Lawes covering lock and openside.

Stormers are proving a physical test but when the Lions have momentum they are opening them up.

I disagree. He had one wobbly high ball - which he managed to knock back while being tackled, but the other few touches he’s had have been tidy. Bryan Habana seems to agree with me.

Barnes didn't fancy running all that way back.

Stormers have been decent in ball retention, but they just don’t have anyone that can really puncha hole and het them on the gain line

Davies picking up the pace a lot at SH. Seems better suited to playing with Smith. Price is a bit pedestrian.

Zander has been busy since he has come on, probably the third TH as things stand, but he would not let the team down if he was picked
