Rent boys arent necessarily gay
But generally are. Not talking about gigolos
Do you think all hookers are heterosexual?

It's up there; the end of that decade is absolutely loaded with classics.
Fleetwood Mac- Oh Well
Led Zeppelin- Whole Lotta Love (take your pick from their first two albums)
Jimi Hendrix- Voodoo Chile or his version of Killing Floor
Cream- White Room
Creedence Clearwater Revival- Bad Moon Rising
Jefferson Airplane- Somebody To Love
Big Brother and The Holding Company- Piece of My Heart
etc.
Not bad for a bunch of drug laden hippies.

I would think the vast majority of female hookers hook with men.

Where are you getting this from? As far as I can tell, like a lot of sex workers, "rent boys" are just people with very few options available to them. Does their sexuality even come into it?

You're right, but it doesnt mean they are heterosexual. Lying back and thinkng of England does not require you to be straight.

Your comprehension is as bad as Ben's.
Yes they migjt have been junkies, but at least they didnt sound like a burst bagpipe like the awful din of Dylan.
Cant stand Bad Moon Rising. Its one of the awful karoeke staples like Mustang Sally, Living next door to Alice and the awful American Pie or Sweet Caroline.

Just a quick Google of 60s songs throws some crackers.
Suspicious minds by Elvis
Marbin Gaye - heard it through the grapevine
God only knows
Calufornia dreaming
Son of a preacher man
I wanna be your dog
Kick out the jams
Was the 60s the best decade for music?

Got to agree with Super again. I am sure Elvis did something for people back when he came out but I can't imagine putting on a elvis album out of choice.

I've said it before but the Seattle bands were far superior to their British counterparts at the time. There's some real hidden gems from that period of music; if you like Pearl Jam if you haven't already then check out early Love Battery, they might be your thing.

Pearl jam were brilliant and remained brilliant, I was more Nirvana though. Then went a bit Pantera, I loved vulger display of power. I then very much mellowed, and just loved so many different types and genres of music.
But, I love to say Akexa, play the Super Furry Animals

Yeh, don't worry. I have been down all the Seattle/grunge band rabbit holes. Pearl Jam remain unrivaled for me.

If the UK will take 20,000 afghan refugees, but only 5,000 in the first year. What happens to the other 15,000? If these others make their own way here, via boats, back of trucks or whatever, are people going to say those ones aren't genuine?

It's difficult to get out of that rabbit hole once you start digging. So many bands born from the demise of others and a lot spawned from spurned members of the big four, Truly are another good band.

And on British band from the early 90s, I would rank Troublegum by Therapy? Right up there with sone of tge American bands. It still sounds great today. Same with Earth vs the Wildhearts and How to make friends and influence people.

I've never particularly like Therapy?, they alongside bands like Bush and Silverchair tried jumping on the popularity of the Seattle big four by replicating it. They ended up almost being a parody of those bands, taking bits from all of them and ending up with an overly manufactured sound, as stand along bands they were ok but the influence was all too obvious.

Bush and Silvechair I see the influence. Not so much Therapy?, not really at all, actually. Great band.

There were a few similar bands around at that time. Swervedriver, Sugar. The Pixies, Dinosaur Jr, Bob Mould etc.
I actually saw The Pixies a couple of years back but was quite underwhelmed. It was very much a sound of my youth that hasnt really aged that well.

Can't say I know much about the Pixies. But I do know it led to Canonball by the Breeders which is a song I love.

Is it acceptable to listen to music that is politcally opposed to ones own views? I ask for two reasons, firstly this discussion has become too friendly and secondly I remember the condemnation David Cameron received when he said that Eton Rifles was one of his favourite songs. A song famously mocking the attitudes of those who go to Eton as DC did.

The British are unsympathetic bigots. They will complain however this unfolds.

I really dont think people are against genuine asylum seekers or managed immigration. What people are against are open borders and illegal economic migrants. That doesnt make you a bigot.
There are dozens of countries which could potentially have a claim for asylum, yet it is impossible to allow more than a small proportion of them in.
You could swing this the other way around and claim that however many are allowed in is never enough for the far left.

Of course. People shouldn't live in a political bubble. People shouldn't dislike music purely because of who performed, or a film or TV show because of who is in it. I still like Lewis on itv and I think Fox is a massive cooker. I like Clapton and he is a bit mad. I will admit to staying well clear of the lost prophets though.

Depends if you're self deprecating nor not. I can't imagine Corbyn for example listening to any music he was opposed to, because he has no sense of humour.
I draw the line at Lorraine Kelly though i wont watch a second of her.

Yeah, but super Realist of an online golf forum says brexit has nothing to do with the lack of lorry drivers, and it was all about the pinging of the covid app.

Be happy for all those sub human establishments like McDonalds, KFC, Burger King, Nando's etc to close.

You can easily vote with your feet. This kind of 'I don't like it therefore nobody else should like it either' attitude is a big reason why we are where we are right now.
(For the record I have never been to Nandos)

When it comes to the retarded and gluttonous British public who dont have the discipline and self respect to "vote with their feet" then they need protecting from themselves.
Your health and wellbeing could very well suffer due to their choices and lack of self control.
