It's the right moment for Youngs experience I think. C'mon Lenny you're team need a big 30 minutes here.
Dunno in the first half he was sensational. This second half looks like a right dogs dinner all round in the Tigers camp. They've been told at half time the tactics are to kick and keep it on the field. Tire the Glaws pack out this half. Some of last season's tactics.
Erm but of magic from Harry Potter on the wing...

Brilliant from Potter. He looks such a good winger. Hopefully he stays fit this season.
Gloucester strike straight back though.
I have a feeling this will be tight with both sides getting TBP.

Sensational is a bit of an exaggeration there Sam. He was good but nothing to phone home about.
We really are making heavy work of this.

That's really poor from Clement after I bigged him up pre match!
C'mon Tigers. Time to close this out now.

That is an exceptional kick.
Dolly scores another for the TBP and surely the match.
Dolly is really good at the back of mauls. Borthwick must be loving that signing.

Tigers score, opposition score. Still an issue.
Our maul defence conceded a lot of pens last season and it's doing so again tonight.
Important for Tigers to score next now.

How can the TMO go frame by frame to check a possible touch call but not help the ref with a blatant tackle off the ball. Thorley is nowhere near the kick and clearly takes Potter stopping him jumping.

Re: Prem Round 2
Tigers' defence has been really narrow at times - Glaws have been able to get around it whenever they've cut back inside and then got quick ball.
Looks like Tigers will win if they can maintain possession, but it's a tense end to the contest

Right option to kick then poor execution by landing it just over the 22 instead of just before.

Re: Prem Round 2
Brilliant hit by Kelly there that turned the momentum of the Gloucester attack. He's occasionally caught out of position defensively which is understandable when so young but his actually tackling is fantastic.
Tigers did it the tough way tonight but they secured the win in the end.

Really good first half, second half wasn't so good. His goal kicking which looked top notch last season hasn't been as bulletproof this season.
Both teams very scrappy. Not sure either coach will be happy with that performance.

Entertaining game, must say I was a little disappointed with JVP. His box kick seemed a little wayward and his positioning in defence was a little suspect. Saying that, he is still very inexperienced. Thought Steward was good again though.

JVP looked great in attack and off the boil in defence. He's got a big boot but couldn't dial in the accuracy and struggled in the new defensive system.
Steward was doing the usual Steward things. It's got to the point where I don't actually consider high balls from the opposition an issue, Steward will take it. The kid is a rock back there.
Nick Dolly this time last year was waiting for the Championship season to start with Coventry. Now he's the Premiership top try scorer. For the fourth choice hooker at the club he's doing a cracking job.

Listening to the Bath vs. Falcons on radio, Radders just went in again. The West Country commentators were very complementary. Underhill limped off early, Newcastle sound well on top at the moment.

I've felt similar for a long time but rarely post it as it's usually met by comments such as, "ooo what a surprise a Tigers fan doesn't rate Umaga after he left Tigers".
I don't think he's without ability at all. His quick decision making and distribution when playing flat to the line with front foot ball can be very good indeed. As can his shorter attacking, probing kicks. I don't think he has the game management, kicking game or defence (both in terms of organising those outside him or making hits) to be a top level fly-half though and he doesn't carry through contact that well to move into being a centre. Gopperth being an excellent partner for him at 12 has papered over some cracks in my opinion.
Whilst discussing Wasps 10s, Charlie Atkinson looks a very good prospect to me though.

Re: Prem Round 2
3-8 at the Rec, we've left five points on the pitch from missed kicks, could be important.
Tighthead has gone off, which is a shame because he has been doofing the Bath scrum.

Ref checking a potential score from Newcastle after Bath bring down a rolling maul. Should be a yellow if it is chalked off.

He's given two hospital passes in this game alone. He's missed kicks, and in general just not showing much...

Anyone surprised Bath losing, we have a former player in charge with no real coaching experience, we signed a has been as a No10. No real recruitment over the summer, an owner with no ambition and a local Council holding back our ground development.

3-20 at HT, could have been 3-27 and would have been good value for it. In the words of the commentator, Bath have been 'mullered'.

Re: Prem Round 2
How long do Bath give Hooper?
I'd give him 2mins in the 2nd half then get the stewards to remove him from the ground. Enough is enough.

Re: Prem Round 2
I know they've got a lot of injuries at the moment, but Bath definitely underachieve, considering the players that they have. They sometimes look clueless when attacking, and the defence seems porous. May need a shakeup at some point, because they should be better than this.

Re: Prem Round 2
Saints were doing well against Exe, though defended more of the 1st half. Giving up that try right before halftime, symptomatic of the last few seasons, is likely to prove deadly. Unfortunately. I think Saints are flattered a bit by being behind only 17-21. But in it, so let's see which team comes out for the 2nd half. Then I get to go play and get right and properly hammered.

Bristol look a different team this season. No Earl and Malins has impacted them. Not sure why they keep starting Uren either. Wasps without their 2 best forwards look really comfortable.

Chiefs - Saints 24 -20, both sides exchanging penalties, Augustus on now so we have a bit more beef, but a little less mobility.
