Top tips for the season......
Called in at the local bookies the other day & couldn't believe they're offering 20/1 on Daglish being the 1st manager to lose his job this season...
A few other cheeky bets I've thrown on to keep the season exciting are....
Javier Hernandez to be top scorer 6/1
Michael Owen to score more goals than Andy Carroll 2/1
Mario Ballotelli to end season anywhere but Man City 4/6
Everton to finish higher than Liverpool 2/1

Kaka 4/1 for Arsenal? How old is he though? Surely it contradicts Arsene's policy?

That's crazy I'd want around 50s before I'd even consider that

Quite fancy the Owen one;
Cannot wait for the new season to start, never been one to do a coupon but I'm tempted to start doing it this season after witnessing a friend of a friend win a stupid amount on one.

Yeah pal they really are silly bets... In all likelyhood he'll stay at Arsenal but notice you can even bet on that... What a con

If you are going to bet use Betfair people. Industry bookmakers prices are becoming a joke.
Everton to finish higher than Liverpool at 2/1 is feeble. I'd expect at least double that.

Bookies always have odds for the manager of 1 of the top clubs getting sacked first and it never happens so won't bother with that one.Brady12 wrote:Called in at the local bookies the other day & couldn't believe they're offering 20/1 on Daglish being the 1st manager to lose his job this season...

Owen to score more than Carroll - don't think so as he will probably get injured within a month or stay warming the bench at United
Everton will do well to finish top 8 so cant see them finishing above Liverpool
Depends on whether Tevez stays at City and who they sign in the summer regarding Ballotelli
Only one thats a realistic bet is Hernandez one but i'd rather go each way on someone 33/1 or bigger

If Balotelli finishes the season in jail, do you get a payout?
Because I might be tempted into that one...
What odds for Suarez to be top scorer? I'd be keen on that one.

Re: Top tips for the season......
Think Owen would need to get out of Utd to get a shot at scoring more than Carroll in honesty Brady.
If given a level playing field, I would say that he could well do, but I reckon he will be 4th choice all season, and probably injured at some stage too.

I cant see Owen getting much game time and think Carroll will hit at least 15 Premiership goals

I've got it in all comps... I can see Owen getting a few on carling cup then being transfer in jan. Carroll has scored 1 or maybe 2 for Liverpool so he's hardly looking deadly at the min. Reckon it's worth punt

Bristol City 33/1 to win the championship
although considering we were missing Maynard for most of the season and Millen has a pre season behind him this year you never know

Re: Top tips for the season......
Carrolls hardly been fit at Liverpool to be fair, I think he'll bag 15-20 goals in all comps next season, I'm not sure Owen would leave in January, the only reason i think big Govan gave him a new deal was the experiance he brings now Neville and Scholes are out the dressing room
