Another Drive4show 'Anything goes' thread
First topic message reminder :
It does seem that this cat video is pretty old. But, also oeople seem more upset about it then say, Chelsea having a player who killed someone when he was drink driving.
We are a nation of animal lovers, my mum was all in on Romanian rescue dogs, not so keen on Romanian people.

It depends on the person of course.
I'm enjoying how confusing this is for you considering your previous misogynistic comments.

Where do you stand on racism and homophobia, is that also fair fame if you don't like them?

I'm not quite grasping the she said things about tories in the past, so she can't complain about misogyny.
Id be flabbergasted if youd even read it and arent just listening to what your lefty echo chamber is saying about it.

It's Angela Rayner, so I really don't care.
If I was to say the same thing if it was about Priti Patel, you’d be all over my abhorrent uncaring view :-p
I get it though, Rayner isn’t exactly sweetness and light and I’d imagine will be quite easily demonised by political opponents.
Take the specific personality out of it though, was it not just a little misogynistic & pathetic to level such accusations.
Btw, The kind of political operator she is she’ll try and milk the situation for all it’s worth, time to move on…quickly, I can’t stand the fake tears for what she thinks will be political gain.
Thank goodness it wasnt Dianne Abbot opening and closing her legs :puke:

I would happily insult anyone if there is a reason to do so. I'm incredibly un PC. But I wouldn't look to insult a women for being a women or a gay for being gay.

I sort of get that you wouldn't feel sympathy for a target of misogyny/racism/homophobia if you thought they were a particularly bad person. But in this case the incident is so public that it is adding to wider misogyny. It is not just Angela Rayner that suffers because of media coverage like that but all the woman you do care about.

She doesn't suffer at all, this is someone who is more than willing to say far worse about those she dislikes. What goes around comes around.

Rayner being at the meeting doesn't change anything though does it. It was within the exceptions for a gathering, as it was reasonably expected to be for campaigning. That's the only question. If it was deemed as that, then having the deputy leader and keader present is no real issue

People really are getting het up on the bottle of beer. I've had beer at work in the past, at meetings or on lunch.
This whole thing is tedious. None of it bothers me. Just the twisting of newspapers from who cares about a breach by Johnson oys not important to its the worst thing ever.

And, how does it change the exception?
Because for about the last six months Starmer's been getting up and asking for Boris to resign for lying to the country.

Did Starmer lie to parliament over this? But again, even if Rayner went to the meeting in Durham, it still doesn't make the meeting unlawful as per the regulations at the time. Anything with Boris, has been found to have breached the regulations.

Re: Another Drive4show 'Anything goes' thread
Well as things stand, boris has been found guilty of breaching the laws, while starmer hasn't. The fact the Rayner went to a meeting about an upcoming by election at the constituency office, doesn't change it.
Johnson seemingly lied to parliament though, which looks like a breach of the ministerial code.
But again, its completely understandable to see how Starmer was within the rules at the time.
And I also don't care about the people in downing street having a drink, though it doesn't look good to many people. But, I really couldn't give a shot.

Got Covid. Started of with a headache and sore throat then developed into "man flu" Thursday night horrendous. First test was negative but second on Friday was positive. Today I have managed to get up and sit in a lounge chair and tap away at my laptop. Don't wish this on anyone.

Two goals in injury time*
But yes Man City like PSG do have a habit of bottling it at some point in the Champions League.

Conceding one was fine and it happens when one team is desperate and pushing at the end of a game, but not to take control of the game and kill Real's momentum by slowing the game down before the second goal indicates that they lost their heads.
Saw someone describe City as OCD and it's all fine when everything is perfect, but they don't know how to react to chaos.

I do think they’ll come unstuck tonight as there are too many key players now on the treatment table but the post I saw this morning really struck home
“Nine years ago today we travelled to East Stirling in the Scottish 3rd division, today we travel to Germany for a Europa League semi final.”
Given where they were and given the domestic environment they operate in that many dismiss as “tinpot”, by any stretch that is a remarkable achievement. In a domestic season where they’ve fallen short of the heights they reached last season, to still be in the mix in Europe is quite remarkable.
Can only wish them good luck but I fear tonight’s the night when the flame gets extinguished.
Carlsberg don’t do inaccurate predictions but if they did…
I know I’m a bit biased but a what an amazing run Rangers have had.
A Europa League Final is not something I imagined in my wildest dreams
