RIP Tom Smith
I can't believe this hasn't hit the board earlier.
Former Northampton Saints, Scotland, and British & Irish Lions prop, Tom Smith, passed away yesterday aged 50.
Tom Smith, was diagnosed with stage-four colon cancer in November 2019, unfortunately he passed away on Wednesday 6th April 2022.
Pound for pound probably the best prop ever to come out of the British Isles or anywhere else for that matter. I would have loved to see him play the current game he had the complete skill set 10 years before it became fashionable for a prop to pass, tackle or run with the ball.
He is survived by his wife, Zoe, and their three children, Angus, Teddy and Amelie, my thoughts are with them

I read through some of that thread. Tom was an all-time great player and was certainly a great for Lions. As a Saints supporter I saw Tom many times and thought him a real leader.
