Re: Glasgow Warriors v Cardiff Rugby, 23 September
Looks a slightly better pack thsn last week, but still pretty worried about the half backs, who will need a massive improvement to gain my confidence.
Price and Miotti on the bench makes me feel a bit better and hopefully the gane won't be iver rhis time before they come on!

I like that Glasgow pack but less convinced about the backs. Cancelliere is class mind you.

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Cardiff Rugby, 23 September
Cardiff won against Munster last week, which is usually A Good Thing.
The turnover count was about 10:1 in their favour. Another Good Thing.
The top carriers in the match were; Faletau, Botham and Dacey. Another Good Thing.
However, Cardiff never really managed to pull away from Munster and if the Irishmen had scored at the death instead of going through multiple phases and then being turned over in the Cardiff 22 then they could have salvaged a draw.
Also, Faletau is missing from the squad.
As is Liam Williams.
Against this Glasgow were rank rotten against a good Benetton side.
Chuckles, Ragnar and Cummings will massively improve the front five.
Having a 6 at 6, a 7 at 7 and an 8 at 8 is a revolutionary idea but it should work better than last week.
No changes behind the scrum probably means that the General is putting last week's horrorshow down to being undercooked rather than innate rubbishness. Hornito has a lot to prove tomorrow. Tom Jordan needn't be too worried: if he struggles then Miotti should be fine when he comes on.
Adams v Cancilliere!!!
I think Glasgow might just do this.
Then again FES thinks Liz Truss is worth getting his sheets all sticky for.

Cardiff won’t win away. They’ve stacked their squad accordingly.

eeuugh!!! That's like watching people club baby seals with baseball bats. You feel unclean just by belonging to the same species as them.
p.s. Glasgow by 18 tonight.
Or Cardiff by 6. Maybe.

The Blues aren't playing, so you'll struggle to see that.

The best team? No.
It's missing Lane, Navidi, Faletau, Halaholo (from the start), Lee Lo, Arhip. Third choice 15.
The bench is missing Domachowski, Ben Thomas and and Myhill.
It's decent. It should be competitive, but it's only their second game of the season. I appreciate Glasgow had a similarly disruptive pre-season.
Also, Cardiff can't be arsed outside of Wales. Hell, they can't be arsed much of the time in Wales.

Glasgow's problem is that they still have PTSD about getting comprehensively defecated on by Leinster at the end of last season. They're used to losing and they were barely lukewarm against Treviso. It wasn't pretty to watch. At least Cardiff got the win last week. Let's see which version of each team shows up.

My bunch were defecated on from a greater height by the might of, erm, Benetton.
This could be one of those races to the bottom.
And then there's the mighty Chris Busby. A ref with only a 44% home win record (most unusual for referees) https://www.cardiffrfcfans.com/analysis/referee_profile.php?refereeID=530
He even refereed a Glasgow loss, in Glasgow, to the Cuckoos of Gwent.

Navidi, Lee-Lo and Arhip will struggle to make the first team. Arhip especially, too hit and miss and a penalty machine at times. Davies-King comes across as a promising prospect as do both your starting centres.
The things that should be most conerning for you are:
1. Turnbull and Seb Davies at 2nd row (too weak).
2. Turnbull as captain for the season when he shouldn't be in the first XV's matchday 23.

Good response from Glasgow
A great backs move costs Cardiff a penalty and a YC for Tomas Young and a subsequent try from the lineout for Frazer Brown
George Horne kicks the conversion and it ism 7 all

Glasgow not taking their foot off the throat at all
They are rampant and score in the corner with Tom Jordan, who has had a really good game it has to be said after a shaky start last weekend.

We are rampant and are not settling for what we have got. Great break from Dempsey and then a soft pass to Gordon who goes under the posts.

What has really been pleasing is that they have not eased off once the game was won, which was quite some time ago.
Even last season, when we won, we always eased off and made hard work of it. This is a kind of attitude you see from the better teams, who never ease off.

Bit of a harum scarum ending, Cardiff fluffing the chance of a BP and Glasgow running it from their own line for no obvious reason.
The score stands though, a very good win for Glasgow and you would have to say a spanking for Cardiff, who will surely be very disappointed.
