Re: Scotland 6N lookahead
I have a feeling that he has told some of these players to empty the tank this weekend and they will not be playing next week. They will likely be some changes for the Argentina game, especially if the bench plays well.

Re: Scotland 6N lookahead
Not going to lie , I think that’s a pretty poor and old team. Most of the form players are on the bench or out of the 23 altogether
If he thinks experience and old bones are going to turn over the all blacks I’ve got a bridge to sell him.
It’s going to be a long weekend

Wtf is Brown doing in there??
He looks past it at club level never mind able to keep up with the most dynamic team on the planet. He's a one man penalty machine too, which won't help our discipline issue.

As I said before, expect we'll get walloped. I'd give NZ at least 40 points.
I'm only free to watch the first half but I'm not sure I'll even make it through that!

I do wonder if the Redpath situ is contractual. Wouldn't surprise me if it was the result of a poor negotiation with bath. That's the only explanation I can think of.
Definitely agree that chuckles is not exactly the form choice. Is Matthews injured atm?

Re: Scotland 6N lookahead
I think he has just gone for the more physical option this week. Redpath may well come back in next week.
Bearing in mind his injury record and he has not even played that much this season, he may well be easing him into international rugby a bit.
We can't just rely on Redpath going forward, particularly as he has proven to be quite fragile

We can't just keep chopping and changing pairings in a position where continuity is arguably most important though. As people keep saying Shona is also out of position. At least Harris is the one constant there. He doesn't need a bruiser inside though, he needs a playmaker.
Also Redpath is one of the best scavengers for bath. He is much more physical than he looks!

Not sure how it can be contractual when it's within the International window?

Pure speculation. I think there must be clauses within that? Especially during the autumn.

Not so sure about that either but 3 internationals in 3 weeks is tough on anyone. I suspect we'll see a few more rested next weekend as well.

That would see Bath in a lot of trouble if it were. Restricting players from playing internationals isn't appreciated by World Rugby. Given Redpath only came off the bench I presume he had a knock and Scotland didn't want to risk him.

So Shona to score 8 tries, and tie him for points scored, tomorrow? I'll put a fiver of FES' money on that.

It's the only logical conclusion. They'd better have Scottish Gaelic commentary for the full effect.

Yeah I mean he could have a really solid game tomorrow and I hope he does. I just find it amusing that he is considered the best option to start at inside centre for Scotland. And that he’s played all his rugby at 13 this season for Glasgow. Playing Redpath, Hutchinson, Lang or Scott would all be better options in my opinion.

Well after an interesting visit to the Hunterian Museum, followed by a great night out on Byres Rd, we are on our way to Edinburgh for the match, happy to report the trains are running this time!
It is going to be a fabulous day for a game, weather is perfect, though i am not sure that does us any favours.
As ever though. There is a sense of hope and expectation. Could this be the day?

Don't count on it!
But as ever would be delighted to be proven wrong.
Maybe Toonie has asked the players to be awful up until this point and he has some master plan for the 2023 world cup...
...Or maybe Ali price will just give the ABs the ball to run at us, Finn and Blair will throw 10 intercepts between them and we'll be on the end of a cricket score. The one try we would have gotten in response is from Shona who drops it over the line.
I jest, I'm sure it won't be that bad! Have fun, should be a great atmosphere!
I'd say 15-35 to NZ at a guess.

I’ll tell you what. Watching Northampton and praying that Fin Smith and Dingwall come and play for scotland. And hopefully we get a coach that likes Hutchinson
Watching those guys in attack is light years ahead of watching blairhorn, Shona and Harris or any other blunt instruments we can deploy in the centres.

Dingwall is a regular at the England camp, I think he's just waiting for an injury. Fin Smith may well be watching today with interest to see what his chances are with Scotland.

Many would say that it’s been in Paris.
Deffo an increase in intensity. To me it’s us reverting to our underdog tag. It’s when we’re written off that we actually try!

Scotland have spurned some really good chances. They've left maybe 10-14 points out there this half, it could be pivotal.
Still, yesterday Italy got their first ever win over Australia. Scotland's time to beat NZ may just follow.

Are we on the verge of a Toonie Finn reconciliation?
Is Toonie about to be the greatest ever coach for Scotland?
Will Scotland finally get that win over the all cheats, I mean all blacks?
Have I been drinking early in the afternoon???
