France's biggest win over England in rugby history is 25 points, and this is the first time France have scored 40+ v England.

Really good turnover from Ben Curry there. His international career hasn't had a happy start this tournament but that's a second good intervention since coming on.

Lol. Is a shake though that that midfield didn't get a little longer together. Think this is the last game for a Lawrence slade on. I'd be at the mo expecting a farrell Lawrence one vs Ireland. Then the wait for kelly.

It's OK, fellow England fans, it's not as though England have to go to Dublin next week, on St. Patrick's weekend.

The number of times I've heard St Paddy's mentioned as if that's a factor in England's issues is rather amusing to me...

Why was Dombrandt just ambling over until Penaud caught it?

Maybe don’t pick players from Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Harlequins, Leicester, LI, Northampton, Sale and Saracens again?
Only two Premiership teams who have come out of credit today are Glos and Newcastle as they’re too working class to be allowed players in the England squad

Lawrence getting injured after all the back subs came on was the final nail for the defence. Walker has now played more at flanker than hooker I believe.formerly known as Sam wrote:Why was Dombrandt just ambling over until Penaud caught it?
Dombrandt has been extremely poor today but being too knackered to catch one of the best wingers in the game after 70 minutes of this, whilst trying to cover centre isn't a reason why IMO.

I would say that's silly but I'm on a last warning for that.
True though as none of ours or Newcastle’s players were involved

I don't mind him being done for pace I mind that he was casually wandering over until Penaud caught it and then put his foot down. If he'd just put his foot down to begin with he could have been underneath it and maybe had a chance to do something.

That was like the dark days of Ashton and Johnson in the mid to late 00s when the southern teams would come over to Twickenham and smash England.

Annoyingly this is the first time they've actually turned up this tournament. For me they've shown a shed load more ambition in offloads than they have all tournament. First win in London since 2007. This is the performance which confirms why o thought they were the best on the world until the Ireland game. The only area they looked second best was scrum for me....but they were down to 3rd choice prop.

Feel sorry for Steve Borthwick, great rugby man and Id still back him to turn things around. England need a bit of a reset and then some consistency of selection. Itoje used to be unplayable even he looks a normal player now.

Sooooooo, Ireland then. I think we start with Mitchell, Farrell at 12 and Lawrence if fit at 13. If he isn't fit Tuilagi. So underwhelmed in our wingers, we really need some spark there with Steward at full back. He was probably our best player today but with that safety net for me we need proper running threats on the wings.

Re: England Pre 2023 6Ns and Beyond.
Unfortunately my bad feeling that it could be a shocker was correct ... losing the breakdown in part due to some very asymmetric decision making by O'Keefe didn't help but there was so much more to it than that. Borthwick might be regretting taking this on ...

I thought Itoje had a largely very good game today. Along with Steward and Mitchell maybe the only to do so. Mario's had a very good tournament in fact I think.

What a surprise. Mako gave away a penalty with his face in the dirt again at the end.
Well done France, you were simply better at everything. We need a bit of work. Actually a lot.

Genge. Nice honest words. 80 per cent there and well beaten. Way off. Genge saying its on the forwards in terms of contact.
