I didn't want to break any rules. I thought you might want all the posts about the Welsh Open to be kept here.

Graham tends to do better in the tournaments with longer frames, he does not really have a great record at Newport however he has been playing well recently, his confidence is back and on his day he is a match for anybody. Have had a small wager on him for the tournament at 20/1 however I will invest more on him for the World title at 33's.

Re: 2011 Welsh open Discussion Topic
33-1 for Dott at the Crucible looks to be excellent value. Anyone who reaches three world championship finals in the space of six years is a horse for the course. Certainly better than the 20-1 being quoted for the over-rated/underachieving Maguire.

Dott is seriously one of the most under-rated players. He is always worth a shout at the worlds.

Re: 2011 Welsh open Discussion Topic
Wee Graham is seriously under-rated although over the past year he has begun to get the recognition he deserves, most people forget he has been to 3 World finals winning one.
Graham had to endure a lot of heartache in his life when big Alec his manager & father in law passed away, Alec had been by his side since he first appeared in Larkhall Snooker Club, the day Alec died seriously affected the wee man.
He suffered greatly and obviously his depression led to his form deteriorating leading him to fall from the top 16, it is to his credit that he has fought back to where he is just now.
I have watched him from his first ever final in Aberdeen when he was well beaten to the night he did lift the big one, Graham is a credit to himself, his wife Elaine and his family as well as being a great ambassador for our hometown of Larkhall, and I wish him every success he deserves it.
The wee fella is a fighter and does not let adversity beat him.

Yes quite a surprise to see Murphy whitewashed however he does tend to perform better in the longer frame matches, another Welshman marches on

Re: 2011 Welsh open Discussion Topic
Well doesnt Ronnie look out of sorts. Seriously missing competitive match play. Still able to knock in the breaks but is seriously struggeling to beat opponants in a match. With his recent withdrawels from events, can anyone actually see Ronnie going to China?? It could feasably mean that Ronnies next competitive match will be the 1st round of the World Championships. Not ideal preperation. Also if Dott beats Robbo today, Ronnie will fall to 10th in the rankings, that is a serious decline in 1 year.

yes ronnie hasn't lost his game as he still knocks in some good 100's its his match winning thats eluding him
Re: 2011 Welsh open Discussion Topic
To be honest, the lack of interest Ronnie is showing in the game right now is poor and i would'nt miss him if he left. I would like to see a fully charged and in form Ronnie back though as he is electric when on song.

A big night for the Scots. Dott beats the current World Champ.
Hendry knocks in a brilliant 147 but eventually looses to fellow Scot Maguire.

Billy I never saw hendry's 147 sadly, hopefully somebody will post it on you tube.
Was talkin today about the time Steve Davis hit a 147 in the 80's and got a Lada motor for his efforts, at that time Lada's resembled skips.
