Post by Guest Sun 26 Jun - 22:14

First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be? appletini

A referee was knocked unconscious in a GAA game this weekend. Very serious incident:

Coming towards the end of my lunch break now but not sure how I'm going to be able to concentrate, Murray v Gasquet (sp?) is about to start, and the last time these two met in Wimbledon it was a 5 set cracker. Am going to be so tempted to follow the live text updates...

Gasquet's easily capable of beating Andy Murray. I'm going to have to keep an eye on the score.

Staggy - I just read that. I'm surprised it was at a women's football match. Not being sexist, but I didn't think people got that excited about women's football. It's unpleasant to hear about that sort of violence in any sport though.

But you "cocke" a gun. (sp- silly filter)

Particularly muskets, which had a cocked and a half-cocked setting.

Jeez she just bounces around the court. If fitness wins games she has this one sown up.

Murray wins first set.

yaaaay Murray! so glad he got that in the tie-break. Can rest just a smidgen bit easier now.

Bartoli is a funny one, she uses up so much energy between points, it could really come back to hurt her. She's a former Wimbledon finalist though and she's in good form, be interesting if she can finish Serena off!

Agreed, Nottins. You can call someone an ass if you think they're an ass, but if you think they're an a r s e, call them an a r s e!
