The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Swanny and Sharpey suits us Rava. Though Mr Swanny is a perfectly acceptable form of address for himself. He knows his place
I will get used to Mrs Sharpe though right now it just makes me think of my mother in law :run2:

Wozniacki is lovely, don't get me wrong, sticking with this though, Williams is beginning to up her game now and breaks back
Don't worry Tsvetana you know you can beat her again, keep it together and don't panic

Well there you go, Dreamer!
I don't like the way they pounce on the players as soon as they've come off court. I've I'd just played a match I'd be inclined to tell them to do one. They give a press conference later anyway, just wait for that.

I agree with you there, give them time to themselves first. At least at the All England club, they let the players off court, unlike in some of the other Grand Slam events they have some buffoon interviewing them on the court.
Also I don't like it happening in rugby. Sometimes the player doesn't get to clap the opposition off the pitch.

Gibbo, that is a terrible joke - that's my kind of standard!
This could be a great match now. I'd love del Potro to win, not because I don't like Nadal but because del Potro's had such a bad injury.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
It's fairly bad Lucky. But it was an urge I couldnt resist.
What's that all about then? Its like purging it from yer brain and laying it on others.
Like a bad choon you can't get out of your hid. It helps to hum it and mess up others with it. I believe strongly in sharing my psychosis. Very healthy. Not for others mind.
Like this Kajagoogoo track I can't get rid of at the minute... Heard it when out cycling today.
Please share the pain.

Any song can come in to your head at any time. If I'm lucky, it's a song I actually like, but half the time (in my experience) it's a song I can't stand. Why does my brain remind me of songs that it itself doesn't like?

Mickado - spot Gibbo after D'Arcy's try! We're on there just before as well, but it's him more than me (thankfully).
It's cooling down here, but very dark and humid. Think we'll have a storm tonight.

Lucky - I'd like Del Potro to win too, really glad he's been able to come back to a really high level of playing tennis after that awful wrist injury.
And it's so horrible and humid out, I don't like it. I would like a thunderstorm please

Overcast in Brentford now. I was almost a puddle on the walk in, should be interesting on the way back to the hotel.
In other news, I may be in the background on a few interviews on BBC2 tonight at 21:00. There was some filming taking place here a few weeks ago and 15 feet from my desk.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I used to be terrified of thunderstorms, but I'm much better now. I will watch one from indoors, but I'm not too comfortable being outside in one. In Cardiff we don't get that many anyway, and I haven't seen a bad one for a couple of years. In West Wales on the coast, we had massive storms at times.

Yeah Cari, I like watching them form indoors too, wouldn't like to be out in them!
Back home I used to always have to sit up with my dog when there was a storm coz she was terrified of them, but I do like them. As long as I have a torch with me in case the power goes off I'm all okay

Mick. Hope its great weather for you man. Sitting on a terrace and quaffing Belgian beers, having a smoke and watching the weird World go by - is a Dam must do.
As, is an expert at it. Allegedly...
P.S. I'll steer you to an Irish pub for the Dubs. There are only 22 of em here in the Dam Im afraid. So not much choice...
So Cari, you looked at flights yet? Few things coming up for me in August. Son's Masters bash, sister coming over, trip to Donegal with my mate. Yada yada... please let me know pal.
Edit. And the Chef's Bash at the start if it.

ooo injury to Nadal! Done some sort of damage to his heel.
Hope it doesn't affect him too much, this match is set up to be brilliant at 6-6 in the first set.

It's shaping up to be a hell of a match though, as long as Nadal can continue.
