The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
great little player isn't he Munsty? He really took his chance when Rees got his ban, but then unforunately he got injured then too.
His dad, Brynmor, used to play for Wales and always does the analysis of matches on S4C, so fingers crossed he's got a bit of a brain on him too. Always helps!

Dreamer, forgive me please, but I am reading that as playing for Wales and having a brain are somehow linked?? Would that be the exception rather than the rule?

Dreamer,
I saw him first against your lot in the end of season game then this match. He has got a cracking pass and from his short cameo, is sturdy in defence. Shame they haven't got a decent out half down there for him to link up with.

The ICC confirmed that The World Cup has been reinstated to 14 teams again!
Ireland keep their place at the top table. Congratulations to the lobbyists.

Aye it is a bit, but he's one to keep an eye on for sure. Really liked how he's developed this season, and getting a chance to train with the Welsh squad is great for him.
Another scrum half I'll be looking out for next season is Martin Roberts. He never quite fit at the Scarlets, but he's got a brilliant pass and I think playing behind the Saints pack will really suit him, and hopefully he can mature somewhat. fingers crossed anyway.

"By the way, where was your sponsor page? I couldn't donate...I didn't see the link"
I did post it on one of these pubs, but it was a wee while ago.
"Something Always Seems to come up doesn't it."
It sure does. I'm annoyed that nobody extended me the courtesy of telling me I was doing this job. Small And Simple message would have sufficed.
"I’m sure nobody would mind that you’re doing it next week rather than this. It’s certainly not your fault that you couldn’t do it."
I knew they wouldn't, but I'm glad I've been honest anyway. Feels good to have done something right for once
"Rev, your Sponsors Are Supporting you mate. I too need the link. Message me on FB or in here."
If I'm honest, I am not taking more sponsorship for it, because of the way things have turned out. I don't think it's right to add to my colleagues total when I've been flipped about and seeing as my page was just the team page, I'd not worry about it. As it's for Help for Heroes, you can donate to them instead. Or buy an RAF 7's shirt as a fiver of your money will go to both charities anyway (Help for Heroes and RAF Benevolent Fund). Plus you'll get a nice rugby shirt then.
Maybe my attitude to further sponsorship is a bit wrong, but it doesn't seem right to take more donations. I have at least offered a more appropriate alternative.
"I'll be happy if you double the distance, Rev!!!! Shouldn't be an issue for someone in your line of work - Speed And Stamina"
More like Slow And Steady now. Those days are long behind me. Double be flipped. You are Such A Sadist
"Rev - nah don't be daft, tis not your fault you've been called up to do something else! And tis all for such a good cause, the money was happily donated"
It is a good cause and I wish I was doing this on my own from the start now, so I feel like I'm making more of an effort now.
Anyway, with the time at 09:15 local, I need to sleep off some more booze. First night madness and all that. Many thanks for all your support.

You just need to "send the boys round" to make the person admit they damaged your car.

That's good news, Prop! It took me months of going to my branch every Saturday before they paid me back the money that had been withdrawn, on my card, in Russia. If you leave it, they'll leave it. Keep on at them and you get there in the end!

Pironkova having a bit of an up and down game 1-1 in sets, took it to a tiebreaks in the second. Kvitova is very strong though

Failure.
My son left me his PS3 when he went off to Norwege. He is a genius at that FIFA game. Im going to practice FIFA and take on ye kids. Dont have the speed and dexterity, but I reckon my experience, football-intelligence and sheer beauty - will take me to a Final.
Is anyone out there really krrap? Have to start somewhere. Last computer game I was WC at, was Space-Invaders.

It was a failure but I then won the next two convincingly which slightly made up for it.
I need to find new people to play. I feel my standard is dropping.

I was quite good at Defender. The local record shop had one and one day I went in at 10:00 and put in my 10p. I had to leave at 17:00 and had over 60 extra lives still and a score of over 5.5 million. Being an 8 bit machine it goesto Level 0 after Level 255.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Evening pub goers. Good stuff on your s/t dreamer
Got my Wasps renewal a month ago
Nah, seriously, it's always worth getting one if you go to enough games. I generally only miss games if I'm ill, or if it's an LV Cup pool game that doesn't get my interest (daft way you now play against teams in a different pool). And then there's the occasional Friday night game to fit in with 'the great God Sky'
Had a mad moment earlier when I got an email from Penfro about 'golf'. Whassat then? I replied - because I don't play. Turns out some of the lads were organising a round at the course by the hotel for the happy couple's party in a couple weekends time.
Then it dawned on me that I hadn't booked anywhere to stay
Sorted at lunchtime, and I'm in the same hotel.

Ha well done Harrow
I've been looking at galavanting myself at the end of July to a special event. It'll be massive for me if I can make a flight (can't book until Thursday) so watch this space.
