First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be? appletini

Notch - For only the 3rd time ever he lost after being 2 sets up. Crazy stuff, can't wait for the highlights, so happy Smile

Hope you had a nice walk, bet it was a lovely day to be by the beach! (or it will have been if you've even got half the sun Cardiff has today)

First time ever that Federer has lost after being two sets up,in a GS event.
Still looks like Cassius Clay the young Jo,but his TV ads are as cringeworty.

Gutted Federer lost. One of my favourite tennis players. Tsonga is a decent player but he seems to be more about power than finesse. Murray won't win this year and to be honest I don't think he will ever win a biggie.

Well my reggy friends, I have just had a rudey poo three hours.

Every few weeks, I go on my netbook and uninstall programmes I don't use. It tells you how often you use a programme, so anything that was last used in 2009, I uninstall. I was doing this today, and one of the programmes it told me I last used in 2009 - and so I uninstalled - turned out to be the thing that detects wireless networks. Could I find out how to reinstall it? Could I guffnuts! I'm clueless with computers. I got angry; I felt like crying; but I sorted it in the end.

The worst thing is that if it happened again, I wouldn't be able to remember how I fixed it!

Lucky - I never ever mess about with the add/remove thingy on this PC...I'm too scared! At least your IT ordeal is over....I'd recommend just not touching it again and assuming everything on the PC is a necessity. mug

I don't think I want to watch a programme called "Embarrassing Bodies" looks minging...

I'm not going to meddle with my netbook ever again! Still miffed that it lied to me and said that this thing that I use every day hadn't been used since 2009, though. I wouldn't have uninstalled it otherwise.

There's a strange attraction to programmes like that, aren't there? The same thing that brought the Victorians to freak shows, I suppose. Gruesome fascination.

M icky,
We have a great local dentist(and they are like hen's teeth in the middle of nowhere)
he's from a country that has probably changed it's name 4 times since he left it' and works as if he's still there;long and patient, washing between each manipulation;a filling is 3 sessions(but you pay for the work done, not the time it takes)Does cause a lot of jaw ache censored

Pffft this places gets empty earlier every night.

I see google have launched their alternative to Facebook. Hmm good luck to them. Can't see them making a dent though, unless Facebook chicken something up. Intersting how 10 years ago newspapers would have affected political elections and how governement's did things. Now it's social media. And on that philosophical note completely unbecoming to a man of my years I shall depart.

The T knows his tennis as well as his LOI. I agree. The Fed gets a bad deal because of his genius. He's a dead-on guy, imo. As for Murray, he doesnt have the right stuff to win a SLAM event. But, this is the best chance he'll ever get to win one. That's how Virginia Wade won one way back. The top players wilted to open a gap. Ale

More rugby chat today. I wonder if South Carolina is a bit of a hotbed. The Americans love the RAF rugby shirt too (with the clouds).

Went to an aquariam today. Great stuff. Saw an albino alligator and some sharks and other things. Poopie me up a bit even though they're behind thick glass. I was close to one of the tanks and fish kept appearing from nowhere and kept making me jump, the buggers. After seeing all those fish though I was dying to have seafood. Just been to a restaurant and had an amazing seafood paella.

Hughie and AsLongAs, you guys crack me up. Just a Standard Airforce Sort really Wink

Anyway, quiet night tonight. No beer Wink Laters.

Gorgeous day so far in the Diff, there's just something about a blue sky that makes me really happy. Love it.

Good stuff on handing over the old keys Lucky. I always like doing that when I've moved on from a place, feels like I'm closing a chapter of my life, doesn't matter whether it was a good or a bad one, it's just nice that it's over and done with Smile

It wasn't a horrendous place to live, Dreamer, but it had a bit of damp and it didn't get much sunlight. Actually it was pretty horrible if I'm honest, but when you live somewhere you sort of overlook things and get on with it.

I've gone to a better place... angel

Lucky, thats a dodgey approach. I delete programmes I know that I don't use but I wouldn't delete things at random.

The only exception being getting rid of the Toshiba software that came with the netbook when I bought it. I did research what each one did though before I did it.
