The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Morning Pete.
Stag, I thought I was safe because the netbook told me I'd last used the programme in 2009. Why it told me that when I use it more or less every day, I don't know.
But never again!

Probably as you don't use it directly. It may be a programme that is in use but you rarely interact with.

Kia ora, mauri ora all.
Lovely morning in London town. And the work softball team (with me as acting captain ) had it's 1st win of the season last night, 15-10 (I've had a few wins turning out for my old company's team at least). Our regular captain was muttering this morning - in 4 seasons he's missed 4 games, and we've won 3 of those and drawn the other. He's moving to New York in September, and confidently expects us to win the league without him next year ...

So ladies semi final day at Wimbledon today
Azarenka vs. Kvitova first up, followed by Sharapova vs. Lisicki. Can't help but think that the eventual tournament winner will be whoever wins the second semi final.

Morning Stag
I've not been in much buddy, had a lot going on the past 7 or so days, some good, some not so good, but I can't complain.
Day off today, home with the the littlies, who are currently watching Hercules and playing dollies whilst I have a well earned cup of tea.
How's tings with yourself mate, all good I hope?

Munging All,
I got a 3GBP fine in Bath whilst driving Gibbo down a bus lane; the hire company took care of it and I had to pay 39GBP charges;they debited my account 3 weeks ago, and I got a non-dated letter this morning explaining what they'd done, but supplied no proof of the offence.
Pete, who should I hit first? and don't say Gibbo

I'd say check the terms and conditions of your hire agreement to see if the hire company are allowed to just debit your account like that first, and then call and ask them to supply you with a copy of the notice from the police/council informing them of the offence. They shouldn't refuse, if they do then potentially something is amiss.

Hercules is one of the better Disney films, absolutely love that one.
Crazy morning in work today, one of our families is kicking off big style, phones are going mental! Really hope it calms down for this afternoon where I will be otherwise distracted by trying to sneakily follow the Beeb's live text for the tennis. Would love Lisicki to get to the final!

Morning Munsty, how'd the power ballad singing go?
and here's a rather unsual article about a bug . I swear the nature part of the Beeb gets weirder articles everyday.

I like stories like that, Dreamer. The natural world is weird and humans are among the weirdest animals in it. I'd like to see someone do a nature programme that looked at human behaviour from an outsider's perspective.
"The human being bangs his hands together repeatedly to indicate approval."

We do need an *abashed* sign. Ah no, I loved the sing along last night. I think my favourite was 'When You Say Nothing At All' by Ronan Keating.

The idea for the white streaks came about in the CCC boardroom. They had a blank jersey on the table and wanted to jazz it up (literally). A board member had been struck with crippling hay fever and mid sneezing fit someone mentioned that a sneeze and an orgasm produce the same chemical effect on parts of the brain. When he accidentally blew snot all over the jersey the idea was born.
They considered changing the marketing slogan to Blue Jizzum for brand consistency but decided against it…

It's just much easier to say that a bird flew in the window and shat on the jersey.

I tennis, watch as much of it as I can (I'm not just a two week fan )
On a rugby note, I know it's been mentioned on a thread outside, but incase any of you missed it Timani the Tongan 2nd row, has officially signed for the Scarlets. Happy about that

Afternoon everyone who is here and also to those who are not.
Haven't been in for a couple of days and have just spent some time reading back from Tuesday. There is some crape talked in here sometimes
Just to let you know Mrs. R's dad got out of hospital yesterday evening. Looking a lot better than he was but have to keep telling her that he is still a very sick man.
Geography lesson for Rodders - Craigavon (County Armagh) is nearer to Armagh City than it is to Belfast. Just to clear that up!!
I LOVE Wimmins tennis ... there I've said it I love my little text convos about it with Hughie each evening.
Penfro/Asbo, what's this I hear about golf?? I hope I'm included in your plans
Asbo, you seem to be spending a lot more time on here at present. Are you not busy? Have you relocated back to UK?
Cari, I hope you get your Dublin trip sorted. I might just take a quick trip down there it would be lovely to see you again. For you...
