First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be? appletini

I hear you now.

so it's just seconding what the person has said.

well I never use it. I imagine it's made its way because this forum you can quote the comment quite easily.

Also because no 3 minute rule, you aren't wasting a comment by doing it.

Heavyweight boxing is no fun anymore. The light weights are far more enjoyable nowadays.

I agree stag but this could be a cracker. It's the 1st heavyweight contest in a long time where it's hard to pick a winner and there's plenty of drama around it.

I'd say this is the most interesting and exciting Heavyweight fight since Lewis v Tyson.

Welcome back Custard! you have a good time? If I was a less lazy person I'd try and round up the last three weeks for you, but well, I'm not less lazy Wink

Am feeling a lot happier now after my lunch. My sister's coming up for the weekend after not being able to make it a couple of weeks ago and she's going to treat me to lunch and maybe buy me something nice tomorrow. I heart having a big sister! Smile

Big call. I know a few of my mates are watching it but I don't know how good it will be really.

I wanted Haye to win for a while but now I really hope he gets the living life beaten out of him.

The guy has no class and although is trying to make the division interesting, he has taken it too far on twitter and in the media.

No respect for the guy and expect him to be battered tomorrow.

It will probably be rubbish stag. Haye will probably run all night. That said he has to go for the KO.

It's worth watching just to see Haye take a pounding....mind you if he loses then we won't get to see Vitali lay the smackdown on him.

I agree mickyt. He has a bad attitude and goes way overboard. He thinks he's Ali but at least Ali could back it up in the ring. Haye just fights bums and then mouths of how good he is.

He's talked his way to the top and now it's time to put up or shut up.

Couldn't agree more lads, haye is an aorsehole and I want to see him get battered, but Vlad has not got a strong chin and itll be interesting to see what happens if Haye lands one clean.

I suspect Haye will fight it like he did against Valuev in and out landing a jab here and there, and it'll make it a pretty boring fight

and Djoko v Tsonga underway in the tennis, Djoko serving first and he's already been broken! 0-1 to the lovely Tsonga. Game on.

Hughie if Haye lands one on Vlads chin then he'll be in big trouble. Thats Hayes only chance really because he won't get a points win so he can't run all night.

Hayes never fought anyone as big or powerful(Valuev was rubbish) so it will be interest to see how he reacts to being hit. I think whoever lands clean 1st will win this one.

Haye will either rock Vlad early and put the fear of god into him or Vlad will batter haye with the jab before stopping him.

Hayes pretty smart though so who knows what tactics he will use?

I'd love Tsonga to make the final. Again, it's not that I don't like Djokovic, I'd just prefer Tsonga to win.

Interesting comments about Haye vs. Klitschko.

Have to say I disagree with most of them. I like Haye and think he has at least livened up what was the most boring weight division in boxing.

He has the ability to win, but needs to fight smart and not get drawn into a battle tomorrow. Might not make for the most entertaining fight to be honest, but if he wins, I don't think he'll care, and you can't blame him.

As Hughie has said though Vlad has no chin, and Haye possesses good punching power by virtue of the speed he throws them at. If Vlad gets tagged, it could be all over.

Can't wait for it.

The only way Haye has livened up the HW division is with his mouth.

A long story involving youthful exuberance and some alcohol - funny how those two don't mix particularly well! I'm not particularly welcome back in Columbia either and I'm the only person in history to flee to Nicaragua for safety!

Lucky - same here. I don't mind Djokovic, I find it incredible he's only lost one match this year, but I just really like Tsonga, he comes across really well Smile

Tis 1-2 to Tsgona now and the Frenchman is serving next.

pHaye says he plans on taking away Vlads weapon, which is his jab, so that sounds like he's just going to stay out of reach and try catch him with a "Hayemaker" ( Rolling Eyes tw@), great 12 rounds of Haye running away from a fight AGAIN.

Stag, +1 is Google's answer to the "like" button. People are typing it into comments as it's shorter than "I agree" or "like".

I don't disagree that his fights have not always been riveting, but then I can't remember the last heavyweight contest I was genuinely excited by. Yes, he has livened things up with his mouth, which some criticise him for, but he has to put bums on seats, and him mouthing off has sparked interest in this fight, even if some of it is people wanting to see him get put on his backside.

I like him, and I think he will beat Vladimir tomorrow night, and reasonably comfortably as well.

the live text of the tennis is sounding like it's incredible, Tsonga just holds on to his serve to stay at 2-4 ahead after some amazing shots apparently, how I wish I could watch it!

I'll be starting up a new pub in a few posts time too, jut to make you all aware.

ah c'mon does anyone ever take Sky seriously in a build up to anything sports wise? They always talk it up to be something you know its not. I don't have any high hopes for this particular fight, boxing has been fairly boring for a long time now.
