''Sources report''. That old chesnut. Its all very strange and the WWE are keeping their cards very close to their chests.

They have nothing to lose by letting the promo happen. The casual fans and children wont have understood half of what Punk was talking about and wouldnt appreciate the boundaries he pushed, and quite frankly they probably wouldnt care - they just saw the heel rambling on the stage. Its not as if the casual fans and kids will be upset by what happened and wont tune in again.

Whereas, the 'smarts' and IWC have probably been underwhelmed by the product and have been crying out for something like this to happen. Their interest may have been waining and perhaps Vince finally saw this and allowed the promo to prolong the interest of that area of the target audience.

To be honest i'm suprised they didnt pull the trigger on something like this sooner. The WWE have nothing to lose but everything to gain in my eyes.
