Some guy called Hanks interested in the Cardiff Blues Job?
"Ex-London Wasps director of rugby Tony Hanks says he would be interested in replacing Dai Young at Cardiff Blues, should the Welshman take over at Wasps.
Young has coached the Blues since the Welsh region's inception in 2003 but has asked to be released from the last year of his contract to join Wasps."

So more or less a straight trade of coaches? If he gets the job i wonder if Gatland will keep on about too many SH people in decision making roles within the regions?

Not to be disrespectful but I hope not, I'd like them to give a Welsh coach a chance, Dale Mcintosh or Mike Rayer would be better. How can Wales ever expect to have a Welsh person coaching our national team if our regions give their coaching jobs to forigners?

I hope not to be honest - He was unimpressive at Wasps.

Wales606 - To be honest it is the fact that Wasps really did nothing whilst he was there, except continue a downward spiral, that makes me wonder if this is just a 'he is interested' story, the same as if you or I said we were interested, as realistically there is no hope of him (or us) getting the job.

I just hope that the Blues have a better idea about hiring a coach than they have shown hiring a flyhalf over the last few seasons.

What the Blues and Wales need are the best coaches available - if they are not welsh then so be it.
