Ronaldo Set To Retire
Former Brazil striker Ronaldo is poised to announce his retirement from football on Monday.
The 34-year-old three-times World Player of the Year has a contract with Corinthians until the end of 2011 but is bringing his retirement forward following the team's shock early elimination from the Libertadores Cup.
Ronaldo scored goals for fun during his time in Europe having playing for the likes of PSV, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and AC Milan before returning for Brazil.

Re: Ronaldo Set To Retire
Just seen the press conference he held and he mentioned he struggles nowdays to even get up stairs! Seriously doesn't look well, for all his trials and tribulations he has to go down as one of if not the greatest striker the world has ever seen.

A great talent, playing alongside Rivaldo and Ronaldinho all at the peak of their powers in 2002 World Cup not something we will see too often.

Re: Ronaldo Set To Retire
I'm only 25 so would have him as the best I've ever watched. When he was at Barca before the injuries he was imo better than what we have seen from Messi or the Portuguese Ronaldo.
Sad to see someone so talented struggle to walk up stairs at the age of 35.

Got to agree with the above post, I'm 20 so Ronaldo is in my eyes the best striker I've ever seen. His talents will scarcely be met again.
Shame to hear about his current issues.
