JJ Williams: "John James Williams (born 1 April 1948 in Nantyffyllon), known universally as J.J. Williams, is a former Welsh rugby union player who gained thirty caps for Wales as a winger."

John Jeffrey: "John Jeffrey (born March 25, 1959, in Kelso in the Scottish Borders) is a Scottish former international rugby union player. His nicknames are "The Great White Shark" and "JJ", the former because of his blond "thatch of hair"."

No claims made on the relative merits of the players - but maybe time to take your blinkers off? Perhaps they were both known as "JJ"?

It has nothing to do with being blinkered. As i tried to point out - ask a 100 people who JJ is and you will get a 99% hit rate on JJ Williams.

Given that the title of the thread is "players who only need one name" I think that nominating John Jeffrey is, well..................blinkered as well as fatuous.
