Miller back to Rangers? No chance
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2013680/Rangers-weighing-Kenny-Miller-offer.html
Anyone in the mood for taken out of proportion gossip? Doubt he'll ever come back. Can see him going to Everton or the like tbh but never back here. Be a shame if he does come back, reckon we need to give Lafferty a chance. Wouldn't be against buying a few reserve strikers incase of injury but we should be focusing on defense and we could get a decent back with the money Miller would want. Anyone want him back?

Why waste money on Miller when we just got a few hundred grand for the sale of Adam to liverpool which we could use to up the offer for Goodwillie.

Re: Miller back to Rangers? No chance
It would be stupid for him to come back. He's had too many stints in Scotland as it is, and although he's getting on is probably good enough to do a job elsewhere in a better league than the SPL. It would be embarassing to come back again, virtually admitting he isn't comfortable playing anywhere else.
Lafferty however is terrible, a scumbag and a total cheat. I'm amazed Rangers fans haven't clamoured to get rid of him.

I reckon he's middle EPL bound myself because he's not happy where he is.

Lafferty appears to be far worse than anyone else, and has almost no talent whatsoever, he should go back to tatty searching in Ireland.

Who would take him back to the EPL? His top flight stints at Derby and Wolves were hardly a roaring success. He could still do a decent enough job at SPL level or English championship level though.

If he does rejoin, it reinforces everything I have said about the quality of the league.

Re: Miller back to Rangers? No chance
I don't understand why Brits find it so hard to settle anywhere abroad. When he signed for the Turks I knew he wouldn't last -- we just can't do it. Other nations players have no issues settling abroad for a few years and seem to actively want to broaden their horizons. But look around Europe...outside of the PL and SPL there are so few Brits willing to travel and stay there.
It isn't even just a few that can't do it. Look at Ian Rush, one season at Juve before he came back; Owen, one at Real...and then I can count on my fingers the amount who even accepted a move abroad... Pennant, Woodgate, Beckham, McMannaman, Platt, Walker, Lineker, Paul Lambert.
Not saying playing abroad is the be all and end all, but why don't Brits seem to try, and why can't most stick it?

I guarantee that Paul Robinson and Kris Boyd won't last there either and I doubt it will be long before McGeady will be back from Russia too, granted those places probably aren't the best places to live, but you'd think at least some might make the grade in properly developed countries like Germany, France, Holland or Italy or even if they are lesser players why can't they be successful in Norway, Denmark or Sweden?

I think there is something slightly dodgy about people moving abroad but not settling at all. To be fair, I think Beckham, McManaman both did fairly well at Madrid, and even Owen was Real's top scorer the season he was there, and he was hardly used.

Kris Boyd will be back in Britain at Christmas time, he struggled with a bit of heat at hampden and had to be subbed at half time, he'll never be able to play in the Turkish heat.

Also when brits go abroad most of the time they blame their families for not being able to settle.

Re: Miller back to Rangers? No chance
I blame a lack of culture, British footballers just aren't educated, articulate or willing to integrate enough to settle in another country.

He was behind Ronaldo.

Not made my mind up yet but i don't get a good feeling about it, Ally better get his fingers out with the transfers, i'm not impressed with the Ortiz yet but it's too early to judge.

Re: Miller back to Rangers? No chance
Although I'm certainly not a Rangers fan Ally McCoist is quite a likeable guy, certainly more so than the wretched Neil Lennon but I do get the impression he's going to struggle, he seems like a bit of a clown in the Norman Wisdom bracket. Should have stuck with Sue Barker I think.
