The Skins have effectively admitted they need a complete makeover, and this comes just 10 weeks after having 12 (yes twelve !) draft picks.
3 of those draft picks were WR and now they claim Santonio Holmes is top of their wanted list, my question for any WR going/looking to go to DC is with the QB situation in such a mess how you going to get the ball ?
With no running game to speak of, 3 rookie receivers and Holmes being hunted clearly Shanahans strategy is an aerial game, so is this the year that Rex Grossman becomes a HOF QB ? ? ?
Or maybe they're going for Matt Leinart ?

Maybe they'll make a play for Josh Johnson or Jake Delhomme.

Marc Bulger is also free.

Or... What about FAVRE???

It was an intriguing article... I thought part of the reason of having Shanahan was to avoid going Free Agency crazy as they had in the past. This article made it seem like they were prepared to throw money at Holmes, Yanda, both Jenkins's

There normally one of the teams right up top in terms of Salary cap as well.

It wouldnt shock me if the skins grabbed a few superstars out of free agency theyve always been up for paying oldies good money.

Got to agree. Without a serious contender FA QB on the market, what's the point stocking up on WR's?

Funny though, apparently Devin Hester reckons the Bears should go after Santana. Do the Bears really need another small fast WR? Does he understand what a red zone threat is?

The skins may as well add pieces to the puzzle if there not going for a qb.

As for the bears i think moss would be a bad fit, i imagine theyl put in a good offer for sidney rice (ideally) or braylon edwatds or maybe even T.O. when FA opens next friday

Have you got they inside scoop on FA then?
I aint believing what the league says about getting a CBA wrapped up by the 21st until it is the 21st and the NFL.com webpage is actually announcing a deal!

No inside scoop just what iv been reading and listening to, it sounds like theres only a small issue about the rookie wage cap that the owners have made and i expect them to drop it when they start losing money. Im 80% certain a deal gets done then

In Dave's world of the CBA, I would rate getting the ridiculous rookie salaries under control via a salary cap or NBA style scale as perhaps the top issue I personally wanted to see resolved out of this.
In that sense I hope its not just a small issue... but im fed up of waiting for FA.
