It’s back!
After a few weeks hiatus while hobo did his Movie version (and that’s enough of that!) it’s about time I dusted down the turntables and cranked up the volume to eleven.

Hopefully most of you are aware of the rules from last time but for those that are sat there wondering what the jeebies is this? Then I’ll explain...

Each and every week for the next 20 weeks (yeah you heard that right! 20 weeks! Double the length of the previous version) I will announce the title of the next round, for 24 hours the contestants who have signed up PM me their 3 choices that they think best sum up that round, I ask for 3 in case of duplication and it’s first come first served (so for example I choose Manchester as the round and contestant A pms me with How Soon is Now? By the Smiths, Live Forever by Oasis and Sit Down by James, contestant B pms me with How soon is now, Champagne Supernova and Love Will Tear Us Apart, therefore contestant A gets the Smiths track and B gets the Oasis one.

Once I have all the nominations in then I create a thread with the choices in for anyone to vote on (not just the contestants) their favourite 3 out of the list. The winner gets 10 points, the runner up 9 and so on.

So if you’re interested in taking part this time round please add your name onto the thread, I’ll accept applications up to Monday morning at 9am.

Liam did send me his nominations - good to see that I got his first pick ahead of him! Woo hoo - you had better vote for it now! (I need all the help I can get if the last music cup is anything to go by!)

You get 3 votes, so yeah, vote for your own +2!

The way it worked last time was that some people chose not to vote for their own - though since it can't be policed, it wasn't forbidden.

I personally voted for the best (which wasn't always my own - others came up with better ideas than I had) - if I still thought my own was the best after I'd seen the other choices then once or twice I did vote for my own

I see, so it's really down to how honourable I'm feeling...we'll see what choices come up, but I don't hold much hope for my opening round choice in hindsight!

I think it's best just to vote for the best song. I assume Hero isn't putting who voted for what song, so you may think you're voting for your own song when in fact you're voting for somebody who put it forward before you anyway.

When it was just one choice it became apparant that a lot of people only voted for themselves so by upping it to 3 choices you're at least picking 2 others.
