With Sympathy
Evening
Just a quick few lines, just read Mr Klitschko snr has passed away today, obviously don't know the chaps personally but with us all being huge boxing fans, thought I'd use this forum as a vehicle to air my condolences.
I'm sure Mr Klitschko will be very proud of having two fantastic role models and great heavyweight champions as sons. Lost my own father myself couple of years ago so can imagine how the two brothers are feeling regardless of fame and money.
Sympathy to the whole Klitschko family and RIP.
Cheers

RIP, thoughts with his family. Like was said above, at least he saw his sons collect all the belts.
Any idea what he died of?

Apparently, he was involved in the Chernobyl cleanup. I don't know, but I'd guess thyroid cancer.
If there's ever an argument against nuclear power...

Re: With Sympathy
Without trying to sound heartless is the subject of a boxer's father passing, especially if not under abnormal circumstances worthwhile on this forum?
I can understand if they too had a career in boxing but it seems, well, pointless on a boxing forum.
I'm going to be slated for this no doubt but seems irrelevant, what next a condolence page when Ray Leonard's mum dies?!?

Re: With Sympathy
Hmmm to be honest I think a better play would be to not comment at all. If you think its pointless avoid the thread. The fact that someone has created the thread and others have commented on it leads me to think its relevant.
Also the timing of his death is quite poignant seeing as its not long after seeing his son pass his biggest test while being a class act through out. Thats just my opinion.

Re: With Sympathy
You have named yourself after a crazed suicidal murderer, so nothing you say surprises me!
Re: With Sympathy
Also, they have a documentary coming out, and he is supposedly a big inspiration so will probably feature.paperbag_puncher wrote:Hmmm to be honest I think a better play would be to not comment at all.
