Re: British top 10 pound for pound
Have to have Khan above Haye, at heavy Haye is coming off the back of a crushing loss and prior to this has fought one top ten guy. Khan on the other hand has fought Maidina, Mcloskey, Paulie and Koetlnik recently all of who were top ten guys in the division. Haye cannot live off his cruiserweight exploits for ever. Also think Barker has done more to deserve a berth than Gavin. Would also have Burns above Clev, the Martinez win is better than anything Clev can boast thus far.

Re: British top 10 pound for pound
Sugar as another person who has Haye above Khan have to ask what you are basing that on. For me his heavyweight record is not all that, has fought two top ten guys, one was Valuev and the other kicked his backside a couple of weeks ago. His cruiserweight time was some years ago, for me he can't live on this for ever.
I remain unconvinced Khan is the real deal but in Paulie, McLoskey, Maidina and Kotelnik he is fighting and beating top ten guys in his division. Obviously all subjective but at the minute personally can't see an argument to have Haye above Khan

What a miss........ I think he slips in ahead of Trueman and knocks Martyn Moxon out of the top ten. Shame as Moxon once invited me in to the chnaging rooms at the Oval to get my book signed by all the Yorkshire players.

There's nothing in it really jeff, but I remain unsold on khan. Haye may have lost the other week but it was to the top man in his division. He's also unified a division and moved up to win a title, and whichever way you cut it that's more than khan has done. Maidana and kotelnik are good wins, but paulie is a powder puff who was made for khan and McCloskey is a euro level fighter. Like I say I don't think there's a great deal between them but haye for me has achieved a bit more in his career. If/when khan unifies against judah I'll swap them round.

Re: British top 10 pound for pound
Fair enough SBS, see it the other way, think Haye gets a bit of a bump based on his cruiser exploits when even before the Wlad fight his heavyweight time was high on talk but without really delivering much in the way of ranked opposition and the like, for me with this whole thing is very much a "what have you done for me lately" situation and for me whilst I remain firmly a Khan sceptic his record in the last couple of years is superior.

He is but that seems to be changing pretty regularly since the Tiger was toppled. Straying away from boxing but I think their is to much credit given for tour victories. Some of the top players use these to fine tune their game.
