Homer ref's!!!!!!!
Im a fan of rugby league and always watch the matches don't support a particular team as I live down south, but what I seem to notice and get frustrated with is the home teams seem to get pen's quicker then the away teams if that makes sense, it always seems to take 2,3 offences before the away team gets a pen.

Don't mention that to Quins coach Rob Powell. His team were denied to perfectly good try's last week at home to Wigan.bretmeharty wrote:Im a fan of rugby league and always watch the matches don't support a particular team as I live down south, but what I seem to notice and get frustrated with is the home teams seem to get pen's quicker then the away teams if that makes sense, it always seems to take 2,3 offences before the away team gets a pen.
Why not start to watch the Quins play. Tomorrow they are at home to Warrington with 3PM KO.

The standard of refereeing in Super league is poor , RFL and Head of referees really need to improve the coaching of referees imo .

Granted both refs had good games , unfortunatley those standards aren't usually maintained .

Re: Homer ref's!!!!!!!
I know he's not everybodys cup of tea, but i think Steve Ganson is the best ref in this country and probably in the world far better than that Aussie poser Tony Archer.
To be honest i think that refs in our country are better than the Aussie refs at the moment, after watching some NRL games.

We do have some good refs but in Thaler and Child we have 2 young refs who make far more bad decisions then good ones .
