the two minute round
I noticed that in John Lovedays professional debut on the Murray-Mitchell undercard his fight was four two minute rounds and when looking at his opponents record i found a number of his other fights were also four or six two minute rounds. I was just wondering whether this is a common thing i have never noticed before because i was under the impression all professional rounds were three minutes.

Khan/Harrison didn't but it does seem to be getting more common.

saw something about this happening in canada as well, the canadian equivenlt of domestic board of control said they were considering not recognising any 2 min rounds on peoples record, so could create different rankings there than everywhere else.

I've noticed it for a while to be honest, i think it just depends on the fighter, not many prospects will be competing over 4x2 minute rounds though.

Re: the two minute round
i dont like the idea of 2 min rounds, more fights going the distance- meaning more awful decesions and also you have to be less fit, meaning the starting standards drop.
