It's been announced that James Loxton (Blues) and Matthew Jarvis (Ospreys) have signed contracts to play for Connacht next season.
Both are Wales U20's players but both are also qualified to play for Ireland, to me they are both quality players who still have improvement to make, but are there any Connacht fans who will agree?

I haven't seen Loxton play, but a couple of people have told me they expected him to be a very good player for the Blues. If they're right it will be good for him to get regular game time, but there has to be a chance that he won't be in the Welsh setup if he realises his potential.

I believe that Loxton has roots in Connacht and that he said something along the lines of he will be glad when he can play where his ancestors are from. So i would assume that he will probably end up wearing a green jersey (if he is good enough) as opposed to a red jersey in the future.

Re: Two in
Latest news is that both these boys have played for the U20's Wales team, and according to the WRU that makes them tied to wales. connacht have asked the IRFU to get clarification and they in turn have asked the IRB to bring some clarity to the case.
bottom line is that if the IRB find that they are disqualified from Ireland then Connacht may quash their contracts.

Seems like the Jason Jones Hughes arguement about what stands as your national second team. Apparently because we do not have a 'A' side we have the Under 20s registered as the second team. Seems a bit weird.
