After studying a lot of heavyweights of the past in recent times I decided to make a top 50 list...After the top 30 I struggled for the last 20 spots.

Feel free to be critical of my list and if convinced I will change the list...You can also add your own list.

Without the defeats he'd be second for me behind Ali but there's enough quality on his record to push him above the likes of Marciano, Johnson, Liston and Frazier. He's very much in the Holmes, Foreman and Jeffries bracket, the losses are less significant to many other fighters losses because they were overturned, far more significant that Barrera lost to Jones for instance.

Then we are talking about an unprofessional quality that makes him dismissive of lesser fighters. As already said more eloquently by Rowley, getting caught once is unlucky, twice is start of a pattern! Mind you, I do not dispute his technical ability or to rise to the big occasion, so it is personal preference on what weight you put to these loses
