As i said earlier, chalk one dodgy decision up to the Indians for not using the URDS.

Pity Bell got a good one he was in excellent form, The rest look a bit patchy now , if you can't slap the keepers pies around then what can you do ?

The scoring's around 3 an over, is it too much to expect that they can lift it to 3 1/2 in the last session ?

I'd expect the scoring rate to speed up in the last session as the (depleted) Indian attack tires...as long as KP and Prior stay together that is.

If another wicket falls it would be less certain, although Broad and Swann are both capable of quick runs.

England need to push on , now that they are sure of a decent total , considering the time lost in the game.

Anything over 400 would be brilliant when you take into consideration yesterdays batting conditions.

Prior gets another 50

Good so far. Things were looking a bit shaky at 270-5 but Prior has played very well and seems to be having a calming influence on KP.

Belated congrats to both players for their 100 and 50 respectively (KP definitely had some luck early on).

I'm thinking England could do with racking up 450-500. India's bowling may not be up to much but I worry we'll struggle to bowl them out.

Wouldn't be too worried about getting 600 , Cowshot. Time comes into it and this pitch stays true so I fancy they'll need to dismiss India well south of that if they're to force a win.

Good last partnership has definitely swung the game firmly in favour of England. Only problem is will they have enough time bowl India out twice?

Prior is really setting the score here. Not often we see KP take the back seat in a partnership.

i've been really behaving and laying of the reverses but any more from you and it's mental trebell time!

anyway, Kumar has done very well but he hasn't have been giften some with some stupid shots from England. Still great play though.

On the one hand Eng will be happy if they pass 400, they got put in and to be put in on a pitch where teams can be out for less than 200 in those conditions and make 400? that's pretty good. 500 would have been required though to rub Indias nose in it and say "oops.. that backfired". Too many guys got in and got out.

On the other hand we have three days left here and India are certain, certain, to make 600 so only they can win now.

Truth is we've been a bit rubbish. India batting first would have made 500 at least. They'll get 600 here.
