Re: England vs India 1st test debate
Great session for us but could have been a devastating one to india if we had dravid out too.
Tremlett 's got a twinge but relieved to see he has picked up one wicket for his effort.

Its good to see Broad getting wickets again but Jimmy hasnt bowled that well. I expected Jimmy to be very dangerous here today

Re: England vs India 1st test debate
A rather unusual afternoon for me in real life: Neighbour having fit and then running away from hospital pursued by police! Coppers turned up on the doorstep asking if she was here. They don't want to arrest her or anything, but the poor girl isn't responsible for her actions at the moment.
How is a chap supposed to concentrate on the cricket?

Blimey!
As Saturday's go thats an unusual one. Hope the police find her before she does herself (or anyone else) any mischief.

If she turns up tie her up , with a drink and a straw and watch the cricket together.
I'm forced to go to the shops now or will starve ( slight exaggeration ) hope fully I'll miss someone's hattrick while I'm out.

Re: England vs India 1st test debate
Some people have all the excitement.
I've only been at a very boring party and missed much of the day's play...got in just in time to see 2 catches dropped in one over so I thought I'd better switch to the cycling for England's sake Seems to have worked as two more wickets fell shortly afterwards...
Broad back in business I see ?

Re: England vs India 1st test debate
dyrewolfe: Yes.
I don't think she's a direct danger to others or herself, but she only moved in a month or so ago and I don't really know them well. I certainly don't know where she might be, or anything.
stellar: chuckle. Age brings sufficient wisdom to not get involved that way with a disaster looking for the spot marked X, especially if someone else already is.
Anyway, play about to recommence.
England, rather to my surprise, in the driving seat. If we can just get Dravid...

eirebilly: Jimmy's the sort of bowler that he can suddenly have it click and be devastating. I'd keep him in the mix.

Defo keep him in the mix. I was just wondering if Strauss would use him straight away or not.

Oh right.
Swann's done well, too. Kept the pressure on, besides the wicket.

Its slow going for India now but they wont worry. I think that they would srttle for the draw here as they are missing a strike bowler

New ball pretty soon Billy
That might do the trick? Then really only Harbie in the way of a big lead...

I hope Jimmy has some impact with the new ball. These two look like they could bat all day.

Re: England vs India 1st test debate
Dravid always looks as if he can bat all day...and often can.
Mind you I reckon I could bat all day against Trott... but at least he's not given away runs and the new cherry is ready now...

Re: England vs India 1st test debate
I am going to go away now, in the hope my sacrifice will yield at least 1 more wicket before close of play.
See you later this evening...hopefully with India another wicket or two down.

Re: England vs India 1st test debate
who dravid? he's the best in the world. impossible to beat billy.. you never ever beat him , especially in front of his home crowd and a few dull as hell posh idiots in silly blazers who spoil english cricket.

Re: England vs India 1st test debate
Big wicket that ...Harbhajan has played some very good late order innings and could have helped Dravid get India up towards England's total had he got in...now they'll be pushing to get 300.
Jimmy needs to join in now...

Jimmy didn't like being whacked back over his head...and Kumar didn't like the lifter he just got as a result.
Don't think he'll get many in his half now from either bowler
