Fury / Chisora Weigh In
From WBN...
Promoter Mick Hennessy has revealed that he has had a request to draft in extra security for today's weigh-in for Saturday night's British and Commonwealth heavyweight title clash between champion Dereck Chisora and challenger Tyson Fury.
Hennessy, who is staging the grudge clash at Wembley Arena, says the bad blood between the two fighters runs deep, to the point that the British Boxing Board of Control has banned the traditional face-off at the weigh-in, which takes place today at the Crown Moran Hotel in Cricklewood, London.
Hennessy said: "The war of words between Tyson and Chisora has had a real edge to it and we have a genuine grudge clash on our hands and the British Boxing Board of Control have put in place a number of restrictions for the weigh-in.
"It just shows you how much this fight means to both fighters. We know that Tyson has had some tough words for Chisora and Chisora has no time for Tyson so it should make for a great fight.
"We just don't want the fight starting at the weigh-in so there will be a lot of security to make sure the two fighters stay apart. But come fight time I'm convinced that there will only be one winner and that's Tyson.
"Chisora backed away from the press conference this week, he and his team refused to attend the press conference on Monday but come this Saturday there will be no hiding place in the ring."
“The Big Brawl” PPV event is being distributed in the U.S. by Integrated Sports Media for live viewing at 3 PM/ET – 12 PM/PT on both cable and satellite pay-per-view via iN Demand, DIRECTV, and Avail-TVN, for a suggested retail price of only $24.95. (Check with your PPV provider for same day replay times.) The telecast is also available in Canada to all Super Channel network subscribers.

Union, I was wondering the same thing. There's absolutely nothing online about whether the weigh in is televised or not.

The weigh in will be shown on Primetime during their Saturday broadcast. Now why didn't 'Primetime' tell us that?

Re: Fury / Chisora Weigh In
Looking forward to saturday night, but I have to admit that i'm not at all taken in by all this 'bad blood' which seems to be 'all the rage' in the pre fight build up nowadays.

They might have been plugging it on Channel 5, but I never watch it (haven't done since they stopped showing Red Shoe Diaries and Shannon Tweed films) so I wouldn't know.

For the amount of publicity this fight has had, it might as well be on sky as most people will not know anything about it.

Fury 255.5 (Previous fight 261)

261?
Crikey, he's not the tallest of fellers either is he. That is disgraceful.
I'll stick with my prediction of a Fury stoppage in the later rounds.

Defo changing outcome. Tyson by KO early. Unless Chisora is packing pure muscle, he wont last. This will be one fat boy slugfest.

Re: Fury / Chisora Weigh In
Isn't a great video but looks to be carrying some timber around the midrift. Fury looked in decent shape. Shame he's she-ite though. Chisora didn't look fat though a la Arreola, suspect he's piled on some weight to try and cope with what he perceived would be a 260lb version of Fury leaning on him.
Still with Chisora, still a 60-40 fight in his favour for me personally.

Re: Fury / Chisora Weigh In
Chisora is sporting a serious set of moobs. What is he playing at? This fight could really propel him to the upper levels of the HW division - doug fischer was even talking about it on ring.tv today - instead he comes in looking seriously rolly poly. It looks abundantly clear that he's not trained seriously for this.

Somebody has shot that on their mobile from the other side of the shopping centre...
Chisora looks very fat & flabby to me, whilst Fury appears to have developed into a fine figure of a man.

B0ll0cks, my sanity is going to go isn't it. Looks like Fury may have been taking this one a little more seriously than Chisora

Re: Fury / Chisora Weigh In
Fury weighs in 6 pounds less! fair play Tyson, he seems to have sorted himself out a bit, Chisora 261 lbs, Fury 255 lbs, @coxy, Fury aint that bad like, he was a good amateur, has many skills, a very good jab, fast hands and feet, he seems to have dedicated himself a lot more, i think he'd smash anyone in Europe apart from Wlad, Haye, etc.

Wish I didnt put that bet on Chisora now, he looks terrible. Congrats to Tyson though, he seems to have worked hard to get himself in shape for this one.

Re: Fury / Chisora Weigh In
It is a matter of size. Evolution. Isn't it, gentlemen? Fury is the most perfectly trained athlete ever. This other man Chisora has not the size, the strength, the genetics to win. It is physically impossible for this little man to win. Fury is a look at the future

Negative. But you must be Pauline. Fury is complete turd. If he came into the ring like an athlete ie Klitschko/Haye then my god would he be scary. Oh, and if he genreated ANY sort of Technical boxing skills then id agree, but as of yet, i have not seen it. Watch him uppercut himself and puff and pant to a disputed win against mcdermott.

Re: Fury / Chisora Weigh In
261lb??
Doesn't seem like the year off has done him any favours, looks like he's got a prize winning pair of knockers in that video. I fancied del boy on points or late stoppage, sticking with it but hope that extra blubber doesn't slow him down in the second half of the fight as I suspect it may. Seems fury has been taking it a bit more seriously on this evidence.

Re: Fury / Chisora Weigh In
260+lb for a guy standing 6'1 is pretty poor. Even if he was ripped I'd think it was too heavy, but Chisora just looked...not good.
