Wilshire
Sorry in the right place now hahahahaha
What a game he had tonight. Am a little drunk so all i am going to say is him and Koscielnay need a medal. Van the man, the dodgy russian and a second half performance bar none. But will the away goal kill us????
Should have been barca penalty in injury time I think

Re: Wilshire
Up against what is arguably the greatest midfield in the world, Wilshere demonstrated that undoubted talent which many have been discussing over the last week or two. You could say that he lead Arsenal's fightback when it looked like Barcelona were going to happily settle for a 1-0 away victory in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 last night.
Here is what Arsene Wenger said about the youngster following the match, "He was outstanding, he wasn't fazed by the occasion. In difficult periods when we were under pressure, he wanted the ball and kept the ball. He played really well."
After making his first start for England last Wednesday, Wilshere is showing a sensational potential in what seems to be his breakthrough season at Arsenal. When he first joined the club, Wilshere was seen as a holding midfielder, but showed in the England match that he has no problems in moving up to a more attacking position. Now this transition has happened at the Emirates and many great players of the past are saying even he is too good to play as holding midfielder. He certainly had no problems playing there last night!
As I mentioned earlier, Wilshere almost single-handedly brought Arsenal back from the dead. Of the many counterattacks he instigated in the second half, the last one, in the 83rd minute, resulted in Andrey Arshavin's winner.
He isn't only great on the attack either, he is also able to pressurise and win the ball from opposition players. And when you're playing against Barcelona this is never easy even for the greatest and most experienced players. Alex Song picked up a booking early on, so he had to be careful in his tackles (limiting his effectiveness). As he was being largely relied on to win the ball before the card came out, this meant that the responsibility was passed over to the 19-year-old Jack Wilshere. And boy did he do the job well! Often seen running rings around Xavi, he managed to mark the world's leading midfielder completely out of the game for very long periods of time.
Wilshere is a rarity in English football in that he is a midfielder who looks comfortable on the ball, whenever it is given to him. The recent failure of England's national team can be seen as stemming from its inability to keep possession against the major sides in big tournaments, but that could change with Wilshere now seen as the prodigy amongst a very talented bunch of young English players. He is even beginning to outshine Cesc Fabregas, a player widely regarded as one of the best in the world and Arsenal's key to success over recent years. Should Fabregas end up moving to Barcelona this summer, Arsenal fans may no longer mourn his departure with the likes of Wilshere and emerging France playmaker Samir Nasri ready to replace him.
The 19-year-old was interviewed after his big match, finishing it with "It's been a great couple of weeks — the best of my life."

Re: Wilshire
Just been thinking with Ramsey too come back as well that would really free Wilshire to perform in the Fabregas role when he does go to barca
