Don't think Sky will show any with the HOF game cancelled ( I think they showed that last year). Not seen any formal announcement on Sky coverage so far.

Re: Preseason games on TV
I know we've all been starved of football for too long and the lockout has starved us of any talk for too long, but pre-season games are desperate, a bunch of 3rd/4th choice guys who are likely to get cut before the season starts, it's like pro-bowl without the glitz.
If you want to watch then probably best to stream the games, or wait for NFL.com to show highlights

The main difference between the Pro Bowl and preseason games is that some of the players will actually be playing hard (playing well is another story).

I think the pre-season games are interesting if you can follow your own teams 3rd/4th stringers and get an idea of who your backups are and how good they may be. i.e. with the Skins last year, we got a look at Armstrong (who ended up a starter) and Banks and saw some potential. That way when they came on the field it was more 'ooh that's the guy who got a TD in pre-season' not 'who the h3ll is that?'.

I understand the logic skins but your 4th stringers are playing against 4th stringers, everything is relevant.
I agree you need good back ups but rarely does someone come from obscurity to being a starter.
At some point between the start of pre-season and week 1 the rosters will come down from 90 to 53, a huge percentage of those that fall will be starters in the pre-season games.

Re: Preseason games on TV
Its the fact that its rare that can make the odd pre-season game one to remember. I remember seeing Chris Horton play well in a couple of pre-season games his rookie year and that earned him the starting spot. Just a pity he's done nothing since.
I understand the attitude that they are pretty much meaningless games, but maybe because I do some coaching, its nice to see (at least in part) how the the talent selection process works.

Re: Preseason games on TV
I normally hate pre-season games but I tend to watch at least some of the Broncos every year.
This year is pretty huge for us as its the only way that Tebow has a chance to unseat Orton as No.1. Tebow has always been rudey poo in practice and needs games, Orton has always looked great in practice but Poopie inbetween the 20s and when the game is on the line.

It makes you look like a polite member of society. Was the 'Poopie' a substitution too?

Skins - this forum is seriously clever, I wrote 'a#sed' earlier and the word was automatically changed to 'bothered'.

Maybe the tech should be used in schools - it would certainly correct most of the lousy grammar and spelling our youth seem to be coming out with!
